Overview

Mami Nanami is one of the main heroines in Reiji Miyajima's series Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu). She is a first-year student at Nerima University and the ex-girlfriend of the protagonist, Kazuya Kinoshita. Her decision to break up with Kazuya at the start of the story serves as the catalyst for the narrative's central events, establishing her as a key figure who continually impacts the protagonist's surrounding relationships.

Mami is a young woman featuring short blonde hair styled with crossed bangs, alongside eyes depicted as blue or green. Background

Raised in a wealthy household under her father's severe control regarding her lifestyle and future, Mami experienced a painful heartbreak in high school when her first boyfriend abandoned her to protect himself from her father's interference. Entering Nerima University, she briefly dated Kazuya Kinoshita for one month merely to try out romance before breaking it off. However, after spotting Kazuya with Chizuru Mizuhara, she began investigating their dynamic, eventually uncovering Chizuru's real circumstances and using that knowledge to interfere in Kazuya's life.

Relationships

Kazuya Kinoshita is her university classmate and ex-boyfriend; despite ending their relationship herself, she develops a bitter obsession with him upon seeing him with other women. She views Chizuru Mizuhara with intense hostility and jealousy, actively seeking opportunities to dismantle her connection with Kazuya. Mami also displays antagonism toward other women in Kazuya's orbit, such as Sumi Sakurasawa, whom she intimidatingly confronted during a chance encounter.
