Model
The engine behind your generation — each model has its own art style, strengths, and quirks.
An AI model is the engine that actually paints your image. Each model was trained on its own dataset, so each has a distinct personality: some specialize in anime, some in realistic or photo-like styles, some in specific aesthetics like Korean manhwa. The same Prompt can look completely different on two models.
Choosing a model on PixAI
The model selector sits at the top of the generation panel's settings. A quick map of what you'll meet:
PixAI's in-house models — like Tsubaki (anime, incredible prompt understanding and multi-character consistency) and Serin (authentic Korean manhwa style). Both are DiT models that love natural-language prompts.
XL models — based on SDXL: larger images, better anatomy, better prompt adherence.
Community models — thousands of styles uploaded by creators, browsable in the Model-Market.
Tips
Read the model's description page. Creators list recommended prompts, samplers, and settings — following them is the fastest path to good results.
Members can bookmark models to build a personal preset list in the generation panel.
A model can be extended with LoRAs for specific characters and styles — just make sure the LoRA matches the model's base.
