Carrera is a key character from "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime." Known as Jaune or the Primordial Yellow, she is one of the ancient Primordial Demons and the leader of the yellow demon faction. Carrera is straightforward, loud, and fond of wholesale destruction. She disdains peaceful dialogue and is famously difficult to negotiate with. Before serving Rimuru Tempest, she spent her time freely causing chaotic incidents in other territories just for amusement. While she initially doubted Rimuru's strength and harbored a desire to challenge him, gaining a name and massive power transformed her into a highly dedicated and loyal subordinate.
Abilities
Even prior to gaining a physical body, Carrera possessed the strength of an Arch Demon, which escalated to Demon Lord status after receiving her name. In battle, she specializes in powerful nuclear strike magic. By violently channeling high concentrations of magicules into a black flame nucleus, she commands the devastating magic technique Gravity Collapse. She subsequently unlocked the Ultimate Skill Abaddon (Lord of Annihilation).
Background
Originating from the underworld's Eldorado, Carrera existed since ancient times before being summoned into the mortal world by Diablo to join Rimuru Tempest's forces. During the conflict against the Eastern Empire, she decimated enemy ranks with high-tier magic before engaging in a grueling duel against Tatsuya Kondo, one of the Empire's elite combatants. Though beaten back alongside her subordinates Hakurou and Agera, she received a massive power boost through Rimuru's evolution, allowing her to overcome Kondo and inherit his gun and soul's resolve.
Relationships
Carrera serves Rimuru Tempest with absolute loyalty as her master. She maintains long-standing ties with fellow Primordials including Diablo, Testarossa, Ultima, Guy Crimson, Rain, and Misery. Under her command, she leads direct subordinates such as Agera and Esprit. In the past, she frequently targeted Demon Lords Leon Cromwell and Dagruel with destructive attacks. Following a fierce battle with Tatsuya Kondo, she inherited his weapon and final wishes.
Trivia
In keeping with the naming convention of the other Primordial Demons under Rimuru's command, her name "Carrera" is derived from a famous real-world luxury sports car.
