Overview
Kinger is one of the main characters in the 3D animated series The Amazing Digital Circus. As a former human trapped inside the digital reality of the Circus, he is both the oldest and the longest-surviving member of the current group. While he frequently displays erratic behavior and memory lapses, his deep knowledge of their environment and occasional moments of crisp clarity make him a uniquely insightful figure among the cast.
Appearance
Kinger resembles a tall white king chess piece equipped with mismatched blue eyes positioned at different vertical levels. He sports a purple cloak and white-gloved hands that float independently from his torso. Throughout various adventures, he adopts distinct attires including a business suit paired with custom glasses, a fedora hat with a shirt and suspenders, and blue swim trunks.
Personality
Years of confinement and losing companions have left Kinger emotionally fragile, frequently suffering from short-term memory loss and sudden startles. Despite his chaotic demeanor, he can suddenly regain remarkable composure and clarity, particularly when surrounded by darkness. Although he originally disliked insects in the real world, he remains deeply fixated on the topic to preserve the memory of his late wife.
Abilities
Kinger's detached hands possess immense strength capable of hurling objects weighing dozens of tons, though he can easily be dragged when attempting to hold moving items. He can detach his eyes for distant visual inspection and emit light from his body while holding his breath. Possessing a background in computer science, he also holds technical expertise in accessing system consoles and manipulating underlying code.
Background
In reality, Kinger was a 48-year-old computer programmer who contributed to creative AI development at C&A. He entered the digital circus alongside his wife, Queenie. After Queenie succumbed to abstraction within their pillow fort, the trauma caused Kinger's mental state to fragment, leading him to construct an impenetrable fortress of pillows to cope while surviving longer than any other resident.
Relationships
Kinger holds a deep, enduring affection for his missing wife, Queenie. He offers thoughtful guidance and comforting words to both Pomni and Ragatha during their moments of despair. Although Jax views him as completely unhinged, Kinger warmly considers him and the rest of the group, including Gangle and Zooble, to be his valued friends.
Trivia
Kinger's personal quarters feature wallpaper in yellow-green tones alongside a black-and-white checkered floor reminiscent of a chessboard.
