Overview

Zooble is one of the main characters in the animated web series "The Amazing Digital Circus." Formerly a human, Zooble became trapped inside a virtual realm, holding the status of the newest arrival right before Pomni joined. Possessing a surreal appearance built from interchangeable toy components, Zooble exhibits a cynical and lethargic demeanor stemming from intense identity struggles and dissatisfaction with their digital avatar. Despite a rough and blunt exterior, Zooble is fundamentally compassionate, frequently standing up against the ringmaster's eccentric activities and demonstrating deep empathy toward fellow members trapped in the circus.

Appearance

Zooble's design is inspired by Zolo Blocks, giving them a colorful, modular structure made of interchangeable toy components. Their head is a magenta right-angled isosceles triangle featuring mismatched eyes—a swirled right eye and a lashed left eye—alongside asymmetrical antennae. The main body is a yellow and orange polka-dot bean shape equipped with multiple socket joints. In their standard setup, Zooble features a long left arm terminating in a red crab claw, a straight orange right arm with a yellow glove, a curved green right leg, a blue straight left leg, and a turquoise moon accent with a pink wing on the upper socket. Spare parts are stored in a box within their room.

Personality

Struggling with severe memory loss that erased even their gender identity, Zooble harbors deep self-loathing toward their mismatched digital body. This inner distress manifests as a cynical, lethargic attitude, accompanied by an exceptionally foul mouth that triggers censor bleeps whenever their irritation boils over. Zooble does not hesitate to use physical violence against selfish members like Jax. However, Zooble possesses a deeply caring and selfless core. They willingly offer guidance to newcomers, quietly prepare memorial services for lost companions, and form a tender bond with Gangle by protecting her fragile comedy mask. Behind their irritable demeanor lies a genuine desire to leave a meaningful mark on the world.

Abilities

Zooble's primary physical capability stems from their modular anatomy, allowing them to freely swap out limbs using an endless assortment of parts stored in their room. They can equip up to four arms simultaneously and retain the ability to remotely operate any body parts even after they are detached. In terms of practical skill, Zooble previously worked as a tattoo artist in the real world, had brief experience as a bartender, and engaged in urban exploration. Additionally, when forced into circus workplace scenarios, Zooble has demonstrated competent cooking abilities while managing food preparation.

Background

In the real world, Zooble was a 22-year-old tattoo artist who inadvertently became trapped inside the digital reality of The Amazing Digital Circus. Prior to Pomni's entrance, Zooble held the distinction of being the most recent arrival. Unable to accept their altered state, Zooble consistently rejects the absurd adventures orchestrated by the ringmaster Caine, opting instead to spend time in isolation or reading. Rather than partaking in group events, Zooble chose to stay behind to arrange a respectful memorial for Kaufmo after his abstraction. While continually grappling with body dysphoria and lost identity, Zooble builds meaningful connections with fellow captives, particularly Gangle, as they cope with life inside the digital simulation.

Relationships

Zooble maintains distinct dynamics with the other captives. They advised Pomni to accept circus life upon her arrival and sympathize with her recurring trauma. While Zooble appreciates Ragatha's kindness, they harbor open contempt for Jax due to his selfish behavior, frequently responding to him with physical threats. Zooble worries about Kinger's deteriorating mental state and constantly opposes the overbearing ringmaster Caine. Conversely, Zooble forms a warm friendship with Gangle, admiring her artistic skills, protecting her comedy mask, and providing mutual emotional support.

Trivia

Zooble's design concept is directly modeled after Zolo Blocks, a modular toy set produced in the United States. Their personal room features vivid colors with irregular triangular wall patterns, decorated with white entasis pillars, three wall mirrors, a bouquet-themed light fixture, and a statue of the Venus de Milo. Although sharing the same age of 22 with Jax, Zooble is slightly older by birth month. In international localizations, such as the Japanese dub, Zooble is portrayed with feminine speech mannerisms, and certain regional releases explicitly treat Zooble as female due to broadcasting regulations.
