Overview
Sirin is a character featured in Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai Gakuen 2. Known as the Second Herrscher or the Herrscher of the Void, she gained the authority to manipulate space during the Second Eruption in Siberia. Originally an ordinary young girl from Belarus, she developed a deep hatred for humanity after surviving tragic laboratory experiments. In alternate storyline arcs, she also appears as a magical girl protecting another world.
Appearance
Sirin features long purple hair and yellow eyes with diamond-shaped pupils. Her outfit consists of a dark purple dress worn over a white layer, designed with a center opening, coattails, and exposed bare shoulders. She is equipped with purple elbow-length gloves, fabric wraps around her ankles and feet, and a single purple crystal anklet.
Personality
Sirin exhibits a haughty and arrogant demeanor, often acting like an imperious queen, yet she is fundamentally childish and emotionally volatile. Her traumatizing past as a laboratory test subject fuels a deep resentment toward humanity, but deep down she harbors an intense longing for maternal affection and family. She also has a penchant for sweet foods and cats.
Abilities
Sirin possesses the authority of the Herrscher of the Void, allowing her to manipulate space and imaginary numbers. She can manifest Subspace Lances, absorb or neutralize Honkai energy, and command large swarms of Honkai beasts. Through additional cores, she can construct modern fleets using the Herrscher of Reason's power, reanimate deceased friends into pseudo-Herrschers, and regenerate her own heart to revive herself using the Herrscher of Death's core.
Background
After losing her mother to Honkai sickness, Sirin was taken to Tianming's Babylon Tower as test subject #52, undergoing brutal Honkai adaptability experiments. Grief-stricken by the deaths of her friends, her desperate prayers were answered by the Will of Honkai, causing her to awaken as the Herrscher of the Void. After fighting Tianming and Anti-Entropy forces in Siberia, she traveled to the moon to acquire additional cores before ultimately meeting her end in a fierce clash alongside Cecilia Schariac.
Relationships
Sirin felt a complex turmoil toward Cecilia Schariac, desperately craving the motherly warmth Cecilia offered despite viewing humans as enemies. Benares (Bella), her dearest friend from the laboratory, became her most devoted dragon companion after being restored through Herrscher powers. She harbored extreme hatred toward Otto Apocalypse while engaging in ruthless battles against human defenders like Welt Yang, Siegfried Kaslana, and Theresa Apocalypse.
Trivia
Due to the humorous contrast between her supreme arrogance and her panicked reactions when outmatched by powerful opponents, fans affectionately nickname her 'Pufferfish.' Before being taken into the laboratory, her personal dream was to become a clothing designer.
