During a special exam in her second year, her best friend Airi Sakura was expelled due to Kiyotaka's strategic choice, leaving Haruka heartbroken and vengeful. Upon discovering later that Airi had successfully restarted her career as a gravure idol, Haruka abandoned her revenge plans and chose to move forward as Airi's devoted fan.

Relationships

She viewed Kiyotaka Ayanokouji as close to her ideal partner but suppressed her interest to support Airi Sakura; despite harboring bitter resentment after Airi's expulsion, she later settled into a distant dynamic with him. Airi Sakura was her cherished best friend, whom she continues to support after Airi's departure. Akito Miyake shared her solitary nature and stood by her during her lowest points. Teruhiko Yukimura was her trusted group mate, while her early friendly connection with Kikyo Kushida fractured after the exam.
