Overview

Harukawa Fuki is a key supporting character in the anime series Lycoris Recoil. She is a highly skilled First Lycoris operating under the Tokyo branch of the secret organization DA (Direct Attack). As a veteran agent trusted with squad leadership, she was once the partner of Inoue Takina. She also shares a long-standing, argumentative rival relationship with her childhood acquaintance, Nishikigi Chisato.

Appearance

Fuki is characterized by her sharp sanpaku eyes and asymmetrical short dark brown hair that leaves her forehead exposed. As a First Lycoris, she wears the standard red uniform coupled with black tights.

Personality

Fuki maintains a serious and strictly disciplined demeanor, faithfully obeying official orders. Though quick-tempered and prone to harsh words or physical discipline when pushed, she is fundamentally a dependable person who deeply cares for her comrades. Despite her tough exterior, she harbors a hidden crush on her former instructor Mika, becoming easily flustered and blushing intensely in his presence. According to Chisato, she also grinds her teeth loudly in her sleep.

Abilities

In combat, Fuki leverages her small frame to execute high-speed movements from a low stance and inflicts severe damage up close using a powerful headbutt. She demonstrates advanced marksmanship tactics, such as firing from behind her back to throw off enemy timing. Her martial prowess allows her to overwhelm multiple lower-ranked agents at once in simulation matches. Her equipment includes the standard-issue Glock 17 handgun and the KRISS Vector submachine gun.

Background

Raised as a candidate within DA from an early age, Fuki spent her youth training alongside Chisato under Mika's tutelage. She eventually attained the rank of First Lycoris and partnered with Takina. However, after Takina executed an unauthorized maneuever during a hostage crisis, Fuki severed their partnership. She was subsequently paired with Second Lycoris Otome Sakura. During the Enkuboku incident, she served as squad commander and made critical battlefield choices that helped secure the area.

Relationships

Fuki shares a sharp, banter-filled relationship with Nishikigi Chisato, who was born just one day before her. She previously partnered with Inoue Takina, parting ways over severe insubordination, though she subtly encourages her later on. She maintains a close, trusting partnership with her current buddy, Otome Sakura. She holds romantic feelings for her former mentor Mika, growing thoroughly flustered whenever she visits him.

Trivia

Despite her operational competence, Fuki lacks basic real-world knowledge, such as how to buy a drink from a vending machine. Six months after the Enkuboku incident, she and Sakura appeared on public posters as featured models for an extreme survival campaign.
