Haumea

Overview

Haumea is a major antagonist in the manga and anime series Fire Force. As a high-ranking executive within the Evangelist's organization, she serves as the Second Pillar among the chosen individuals who possess the Adolla Burst. Operating within the Tokyo Empire, she plays a pivotal role in furthering the White-Clad's destructive agenda. Despite her cute facial features beneath her mask, she is characterized by her vulgarly spoken language, extreme emotional instability, and sadistic demeanor toward both allies and foes.

Appearance

Haumea has blonde hair styled into a high ponytail tied at the crown of her head with a braid motif. Her most distinctive feature is a crown-shaped blindfold visor that completely conceals her eyes. Beneath this signature headwear, she possesses white pupils and an exceptionally cute facial appearance.

Personality

Haumea possesses an unhinged and highly volatile personality marked by vulgar speech, manic laughter, and sudden violent outbursts over trivial matters. She treats everyone around her, including her allies, with immense disrespect and callousness. However, her sadistic and broken mental state is the result of being connected to Adolla, humanity's collective unconscious, since birth. Constantly exposed to mankind's darkest and most horrific thoughts shattered her mind, masking her original nature, which was naturally gentle and pessimistic.

Abilities

As a Third Generation pyrokinetic equipped with an Adolla Burst, Haumea converts thermal energy into electricity and plasma. By generating electrical signals and electromagnetic waves, she can disrupt power systems, read human brainwaves, control mental states, and brainwash individuals or Infernals. Her primary weakness is interference caused by nearby plasma, which neutralizes her brainwave manipulation signals. Consequently, Arthur Boyle, who utilizes plasma in battle, serves as her natural counter.

Background

Connected to the collective unconscious since birth, Haumea served the Evangelist from early childhood. Twelve years prior to the events of the series, at just five years old, she detected the awakening of Shou Kusakabe's Adolla Burst. She engineered the fire at the Kusakabe residence and transformed Shinra Kusakabe and Shou Kusakabe's mother into a Demon Infernal. By taking mental control of the mother, Haumea abducted the infant Shou and brought him to the White-Clad.

Relationships

Haumea is frequently paired with Charon, who acts as her personal guardian despite her abusive behavior toward him. Her primary nemesis is Arthur Boyle, whose plasma abilities neutralize her brainwave control, rendering him a direct threat to her powers. Additionally, she shares a deep, antagonistic connection with Shinra Kusakabe and Shou Kusakabe; by manipulating their mother to kidnap Shou twelve years ago, she became the direct cause of the tragedy that destroyed their family.

Trivia

The character's name originates from Haumea, a dwarf planet located in the Solar System. Her signature crown-shaped blindfold serves as both a key element of her character design and a visual motif representing her status as the Second Pillar.
