Overview
Hayami Rinka is a character from the manga and anime series Assassination Classroom. She is a student in Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School, holding seat number E-19. Recognized as the top female marksman in her class, she plays a vital support role in assassination missions. Despite her low-profile and quiet presence in everyday school life, she possesses outstanding combat capabilities and a refined appearance.
Appearance
She is characterized by her slanted, sharp eyes. In the anime adaptation, she features green eyes and orange hair initially worn in a shoulder-length cut, which she later styles into low twintails for better mobility. In the original manga, she is depicted with blonde hair and black pupils. She possesses a slender model-like figure and has been shown wearing attire such as a white bikini, a traditional kimono, and mini skirts.
Personality
Hayami has a stoic, dry, and reserved personality, rarely showing emotion or asserting herself. She speaks bluntly to others and dislikes standing out, yet she cares about class harmony and finds it difficult to refuse requests when relied upon. Despite her aloof demeanor, she harbors a hidden soft side for small animals and exhibits a classic tsundere disposition.
Abilities
Hayami is Class E's top female markswoman, specializing in rapid fire and mobile sniping. Honed by her experience in jazz dance, her strong physical core, flexible fingers, and keen dynamic vision allow her to shoot accurately even from unstable positions, such as hanging upside down from a tree branch. She also ranks third among the girls in knife fighting techniques, compensating for any missed shots with quick adaptation and continuous fire.
Background
Prior to joining Class 3-E, Hayami fell into poor academic standing after being unable to say no to peers who dumped their burdens onto her. Through her time under Korosensei's guidance, she overcame self-doubt and developed her confidence. After graduation, she honed her organizational and sales interpersonal skills, eventually handling administration and sales operations for the architectural firm established by her classmate Ryuunosuke Chiba.
Relationships
Hayami shares a close bond with Ryuunosuke Chiba as Class E's primary sniper duo. Working seamlessly together in missions and training, they maintain a relation built on mutual trust and rivalry, later collaborating in business after graduation. She is also good friends with Touka Yada, while her classmate Taiga Okajima coined her class codename, Tsundere Sniper.
Trivia
Her favorite food is beef stroganoff. In school, her best subject is Japanese literature, while her weakest is physics. Outside of her jazz dance hobby, she occasionally goes fishing with Chiba to train her concentration. If she were to win the 10-billion-yen bounty, her goal would be to use it casually and return to a normal life.
