A booster that generates at high resolution from the start — one polished image instead of a batch.

HiRes is a booster that generates your image at high resolution from the very start, producing sharper, more detailed, professional-looking results — no separate upscaling pass needed.

On PixAI

Enable HiRes in the Add Booster section of the generation panel. Two things to know:

  • One image at a time. With HiRes on, you generate a single image instead of a batch of four — quality over quantity.

  • Re-enable after changing dimensions. If you change the image size, toggle HiRes again or it won't apply.

HiRes vs. Upscale

  • HiRes: high resolution during generation — the AI builds detail in as it creates.

  • Upscale: raises the resolution of an image that already exists.

A common workflow: explore ideas in cheap batches first, then re-run the winner (same seed and prompt) with HiRes enabled for the final version. Note that images generated with HiRes can't use the Image Enhance tool afterward — they're already there.
