Seed

Your image's DNA — reuse the same seed to reproduce a result, or roll a new one for variety.

Every image you generate has a seed — a number that decides the "roll of the dice" behind that particular result. Think of it as your image's DNA: the same Prompt, settings, and seed reproduce almost exactly the same image, while a different seed gives you a completely different take on the same prompt.

What seeds are for

  • Reproducing a favorite. Love a result? Copy its seed from the task details, paste it into the Seed box, and you can generate it again.

  • Small, targeted tweaks. Keep the seed and add one thing to your prompt (say, "star-shaped hair clip") and you'll usually get a similar composition with that change. Note that strong keywords can still shift the whole scene.

  • Polishing quality. Keep everything identical — same prompt, same seed — and just raise the Sampling-Steps from 28 to 35–40. The AI refines the same image with more care.

The classic mistake

Adding "high quality, detailed face" to your prompt while reusing a seed will not give you the same character with better quality — any prompt change alters the whole generation, so you'll get a different person. Seeds only preserve a result while everything else stays identical. For quality, raise the steps; for detail changes, make one small prompt edit at a time.

Tips

  • Exploring ideas? Leave the seed on random and generate batches until something clicks — then lock the seed in and refine.

  • Save winning seed + prompt combos with the Note function so you can come back to them.
