Overview
Buffaloman is a prominent character in Kinnikuman and Kinnikuman II, depicted as a Spanish bull-themed warrior known for his extraordinary physical strength. Introduced as the leader of the Seven Devil Chojin, he initially fought against Kinnikuman and his allies before reforming and becoming a dependable member of the Justice Chojin. Boasting an overwhelming 10 million power strength, he is defined by his imposing power-fighting style and a strong sense of honor that earns him respect across different factions.
Appearance
Standing 250 centimeters tall and weighing between 210 and 220 kilograms, Buffaloman is a massive, muscular male Chojin with pupil-less yellow eyes. His head features two large horns known as Longhorns. He typically sports long, tightly curled hair resembling an afro or punch perm, though in Kinnikuman II he also appears with long straight hair and facial stubble. His hair was once shown as a wig removed to reveal a shaved head symbolizing his departure from the Devil Chojin. His metallic horns can be forged when heated, even serving as a replacement arm bone.
Personality
Despite his fearsome origin as a Devil Chojin, Buffaloman possesses a deep sense of honor, chivalry, and fairness. He strictly adheres to rules once established and treats opponents with respect. Beneath his tough exterior lies a warrior who dislikes solitude and deeply values the bonds he forms across different factions. He is extremely dedicated to self-improvement and frequently demonstrates a self-sacrificing nature to protect and support his comrades.
Abilities
Buffaloman possesses a base strength of 10 million power, utilizing his immense muscular strength and sharp Longhorns in battle. His signature techniques include the Hurricane Mixer, Chojin Crossfall, and Hurricane Giga Blaster. In addition to brute force, he exhibits technical cunning, having created the Kinniku Buster Reversal. He can also execute the 0 Power technique, which lowers his power output to move at the speed of light, and can surge his strength up to 80 million power using Burning Inner Strength.
Background
Originally a low-ranking wrestler with 1 million power, Buffaloman contracted with Satan to gain 10,000 power for each opponent defeated, eventually reaching 10 million power. After leading the Seven Devil Chojin against Kinnikuman, he reformed into a Justice Chojin. He formed the 2000 Million Powers tag team with Mongolman, joined Kinnikuman Soldier's Chojin Blood Alliance, and was revealed as the sole survivor of the ancient Buffalo Clan. Later, he rejoined the Devil Chojin to battle the Perfect Origin, ultimately engaging the God of Harmony, The One, in battle at the Babel Tower and agreeing to become his disciple to attain greater strength.
Relationships
Buffaloman shares a powerful bond of friendship with Kinnikuman, whom he once aided by sacrificing one of his own horns to repair Kinnikuman's injured arm. He holds deep respect for Akuma Shogun as his commander and mentor. With Mongolman, he formed the 2000 Million Powers tag team, and he fought alongside Kinnikuman Soldier (Kinniku Ataru) in the Chojin Blood Alliance. He reunited with Springman as the tag team Diabolos, and later encountered the God of Harmony, The One, accepting him as a new master to pursue true strength.
Trivia
Buffaloman's design concept was inspired by the real-life professional wrestler Bruiser Brody. His birthday of June 9 is derived from a numerical play on flipping the digit 6 upside down to become 9. His signature Longhorns are frequently damaged or broken off across various battle arcs, possessing the unusual property of being forgeable like metal.
