Haruka Kiritani

Overview

Haruka Kiritani is a character from Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku and a member of the idol group MORE MORE JUMP!. Formerly the high-profile center of the nationally famous idol group ASRUN, she temporarily retired from the entertainment industry following the group's disbandment to attend Miyamasuzaka Girls' Academy. Inspired by her encounters with Hanasato Minori and her fellow groupmates, she decides to return to the stage and fully commit herself to her idol career once again.

Appearance

Haruka has blue eyes and short blue hair styled in a bob cut. Her signature outfit is an idol-style costume predominantly colored in white and light blue, accented with accessories such as hair ornaments, bows, earrings, and necklaces, worn with long sleeves and a dress.

Personality

Haruka is a highly disciplined, responsible, and hardworking student with an exceptionally strong work ethic. She loathes slacking off and maintains a strict regimen of daily workouts and careful dietary management. Beneath her serious and composed exterior lies a passionate love for penguins, driving her to collect immense amounts of penguin-themed merchandise. She also possesses a soft spot for sweets, occasionally indulging in massive quantities of desserts during designated cheat days.

Abilities

Haruka possesses elite performance capabilities and powerful charisma forged through years of idol experience since childhood. Alongside exceptional athletic prowess—demonstrated in activities like basketball—she maintains remarkable physical stamina through rigorous daily conditioning and actively contributes to planning and organizing group activities.

Background

Having debuted in elementary school, Haruka reached the pinnacle of idol stardom as ASRUN's center. However, intense self-doubt surrounding a junior idol's injury and retirement left her with severe stage fright, prompting her to leave the industry and return to school. Through the persistent encouragement of Hanasato Minori, alongside Momoi Airi and Hinomori Shizuku, she overcomes her emotional trauma within the SEKAI. Reaffirming her passion to deliver hope to others, she forms MORE MORE JUMP! with them and later transfers to a credit-based class to fully focus on her renewed idol career.

Relationships

Haruka shares a close bond with her MORE MORE JUMP! teammates: Hanasato Minori, Momoi Airi, and Hinomori Shizuku. Minori, a long-time admirer of Haruka, played a pivotal role in helping her return to the stage. She is also childhood friends and friendly rivals with Vivid BAD SQUAD's Shiraishi An. Additionally, she maintains warm friendships with schoolmates such as Hoshino Ichika, Tenma Saki, Hinomori Shiho, Otori Emu, and Yoisaki Kanade.

Trivia

Haruka's decision to become an idol stems from a childhood memory of being helped by a female idol when she got lost. She is also fond of Phoenix Wonderland's mascot, Fenny-kun, simply because of its resemblance to a penguin.
