Inpainting
Fix, remove, or change one part of an image — mask the area, describe the change, done.
Inpainting is precision surgery for your images: select just the part you want changed, describe what should be there, and the AI redraws only that area while leaving everything else untouched.
On PixAI
Open the Edit panel, load an image (a generated task, an upload, or a clipboard paste), and switch to Inpaint mode. Mask the target with the brush or box tool, type your prompt, and generate.
What you can do
Change features: mask the mouth and prompt "parted lips" to adjust an expression; mask the iris and prompt "yellow eyes" for a color swap.
Remove mistakes: mask a glitchy extra limb or a watermark.
Add details: mask empty space and describe what belongs there.
The two golden rules
Mask precisely. Cover the whole thing you're changing — a half-masked iris gives you a half-recolored eye.
Describe what should be there, not what to remove. Instead of "remove watermark", prompt what belongs in that spot (e.g. "white floor"). For a stray hand, prompting something context-aware like "teddy bear" can replace it with an object that fits the scene.
Tips
The color picker lets you sample a reference shade before recoloring.
Switching between Inpaint and Outpaint modes discards unsaved changes — finish one before starting the other.
