Overview
Abyss Razor is a character from the manga and anime series MASHLE: Magic and Muscles. He is a student in the Lang House at Easton Magic Academy and serves as the Second Fang of Magia Lupus, the elite group governing the house. Acting as the loyal right-hand man to the leader Abel Walker, he operates as a masked wizard involved in the group's underground activities.
Appearance
He is an 18-year-old male student with long hair tied back behind his head. Under normal circumstances, he conceals his face beneath a full mask and wears a hood. He removes his mask when eating. As a magic user, he possesses magic marks on his face.
Personality
Abyss is intensely loyal to Abel Walker, addressing him with high respect and striving to meet his expectations even if he is merely being used. Due to severe childhood trauma, he carried a deep sense of self-hatred, feeling his own birth was a mistake. He is extraordinarily shy and awkward around young women, customarily referring to them as 'onago'. For breakfast, he prefers simply taking a single cup of black coffee.
Abilities
He utilizes the innate spell 'Acceleraise', which accelerates his body at high speeds in the direction of manifested arrows. Armed with a hybrid weapon combining a wand and a sword, he specializes in high-speed close-quarters sword combat. He can surround targets with swirling arrows to perform rapid strike chains using 'Acceleraise Sphere', and cast his Secondss spell, 'Force Field', creating a barrier that slows down opponents while boosting his own speed. Additionally, he possesses the 'Evil Eye', a unique eye that temporarily nullifies the magic of anyone he looks at.
Background
Born with the cursed 'Evil Eye' that negates magic in a society worshipping it as a divine gift, Abyss was feared by his biological parents, who confined him in a basement and eventually tried to kill him. Saved by Abel Walker, he found a purpose in Magia Lupus. During the confrontation at their stronghold over abducted students like Lemon Irvine, he fought Mash Burnedead. After his defeat, despite his expectation of rejection, Mash reached out to offer him friendship, gradually breaking through Abyss's isolation.
Relationships
Abyss devotes complete allegiance to Abel Walker, the leader of Magia Lupus. Regarding Mash Burnedead, Abyss initially felt resentment toward him for seeking a peaceful life despite being an outcast like himself. However, after their battle and an open conversation about their pasts, he accepted Mash's offer of friendship and agreed to share cream puffs together.
Trivia
Because his 'Evil Eye' functions specifically by negating an opponent's magical energy, it is entirely ineffective against Mash Burnedead, who possesses no magic to begin with.
