Alcina Dimitrescu

Overview

Alcina Dimitrescu is a prominent antagonist in Resident Evil Village. Serving as one of the Four Lords under Mother Miranda, she is the matriarch who rules over Castle Dimitrescu alongside her three daughters, Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela. Standing at a monumental height of 290 cm with a strikingly glamorous yet imposing presence, she acts as one of the primary threats confronting Ethan Winters within her massive fortress.

Appearance

Alcina is an exceptionally tall woman standing 290 cm in height, with pale skin, yellow eyes, red lipstick, and short, wavy black hair. Her attire consists of a long white dress featuring a black flower on her left side, paired with black gloves and a wide-brimmed black sun hat. She wears multiple pearl necklaces around her neck and is frequently seen holding a cigarette holder.

Personality

Possessing a highly sadomasochistic and cruel nature, Alcina takes pleasure in tormenting others and consuming human flesh and blood. She holds supreme pride in herself and her noble lineage, resenting being placed on equal footing with the other Four Lords and openly despising Karl Heisenberg for his coarse demeanor. While she demonstrates absolute loyalty and deference to Mother Miranda, her volatile temper can cause her to burst into rage when provoked. Despite her sadistic ruthlessness, she harbors genuine maternal love for her three adopted daughters.

Abilities

Due to her integration with the Cadou parasite, Alcina possesses an extremely high metabolic rate that grants her virtually invulnerable regenerative capabilities, allowing her to shrug off gunfire and explosives. She can instantly extend long, deadly claws from her fingertips to slice through enemies. When stabbed with a specialized poisoned dagger, her cellular control disintegrates, causing her to mutate into a massive, dragon-like creature equipped with a gigantic maw, powerful claws, and violent tentacles.

Background

Born into a fallen noble family in the early 1900s, Alcina was subjected to human experiments by Mother Miranda, becoming her first successful Cadou host and halting her aging at age 44. The procedure gave her a giant stature and a biological need to consume human blood to sustain herself. Over the decades, she transformed her castle into a house of horrors, torturing female servants for their blood to create her signature wine, Sanguis Virginis, and leaving their drained bodies as monstrous roaming corpses. After Ethan Winters slays her beloved daughters, she relentlessly hunts him down, but is mortally mutated after being stabbed with a venomous ancient dagger, ultimately collapsing into a crystallized statue upon her defeat.

Relationships

Alcina serves Mother Miranda with deep reverence, though she harbors subtle resentment when treated as equal to the other lords. She shares a bitter mutual hatred with Karl Heisenberg, constantly exchanging insults with him. She feels immense affection for her three adopted daughters—Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela—whom she created through Cadou experiments. While she initially views Ethan Winters as mere prey, her contempt turns into burning vengeful hatred after he kills her daughters.

Trivia

Her vampiric traits, reliance on blood, and castle wine-brewing practices evoke historical and folklore figures such as Elizabeth Báthory and classic vampires. Her mutated form resembles a dragon as a nod to the etymology of Dracula, which translates to 'son of the dragon.' Additionally, the first letters of her name and those of her three daughters—Alcina, Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela—alphabetically spell out 'A-B-C-D.'
