Overview
Jake Muller is one of the main protagonists in Resident Evil 6. Initially working as a mercenary for anti-government guerrillas in the Eastern European republic of Edonia, he possesses a rare natural immunity to the C-Virus. After meeting DSO agent Sherry Birkin, he agrees to provide his blood for vaccine development in exchange for a massive financial payout. As they travel together to escape pursuing threats, his central role in the global crisis unfolds, tied directly to his secret lineage as the biological son of Albert Wesker.
Appearance
Jake Muller is a tall, muscular young man standing 190 cm tall and weighing 80 kg. He features blue eyes, a shaved head, and a facial scar. Throughout his mission, he wears a jacket, shirt, and pants, though he also engages in combat bare-chested at certain points. In the epilogue, he dons dark sunglasses reminiscing his father's style while riding a motorcycle.
Personality
Cynical, blunt, and highly distrustful of others, Jake frequently masks his true feelings with sarcastic remarks. Distressed by past betrayals and his inability to save his sick mother due to poverty, he prioritizes monetary gain and self-reliance above all else. Beneath his tough exterior, however, he is not cold-hearted. He yearns for connection and gradually develops a deep trust and protective care for Sherry Birkin as she treats him with genuine warmth. While naturally wary around strangers, he can form quick understandings with certain individuals.
Abilities
Jake possesses superhuman physical prowess and combat skills inherited from his father. In addition to marksmanship, he relies on a unique hand-to-hand martial arts style, allowing him to overpower armed J'avo and engage the massive B.O.W. Ustanak with his bare fists alone. His biological composition grants him complete immunity to the C-Virus, making his blood the sole key to synthesizing a cure. Outside of combat, he displays impressive musical proficiency on the piano.
Background
Raised by his mother in Edonia, Jake became a mercenary to pay for her medical care. In late 2012, after being injected with the C-Virus without mutating, he met agent Sherry Birkin, who revealed that his unique blood could save the world. Demanding 50 million dollars for his cooperation, he set out to escape the warzone. The pair faced persistent attacks from the specialized B.O.W. Ustanak and Carla Radames, leading to their capture and a six-month imprisonment in China. After breaking free, Jake confronted the harsh truth of his father Albert Wesker's legacy while fighting through the global bio-terror crisis.
Relationships
Jake forms a close bond with DSO agent Sherry Birkin, whose shared background of troubled parentage allows them to understand one another deeply. He is the biological son of Albert Wesker; though he never knew him growing up, learning of his father's atrocious legacy creates intense internal turmoil. Upon discovering that Chris Redfield killed Wesker, Jake violently confronts him in a moment of emotional rage before choosing to spare him. He also crosses paths with agents Leon S. Kennedy and BSAA member Piers Nivans during the operations.
Trivia
Jake's combat animations and cinematic moments contain numerous homage references to his father, Albert Wesker. His steep demand of 50 million dollars as compensation for his blood is humorously reduced to a trivial amount in his final message to Sherry.
