Soon after infiltration, she was ambushed and killed by mutant creatures known as Ooze. Her demise was witnessed by Jill Valentine during her own exploration of the vessel. Following her death, Rachael succumbed to viral infection and was transformed into a monstrous creature that roamed the corridors.
