Overview

Luna Wright is a character from the manga and anime series Dr.STONE, created by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi. Originating from the United States, she is a wealthy young woman and former medical student. Initially introduced as a covert agent dispatched by Stanley Snyder of the North American scientific faction to infiltrate the Kingdom of Science's vessel, the Perseus, she subsequently defects to join Ishigami Senku's group. Although she constantly strives to portray herself as a sharp and capable woman, she is fundamentally a romantic and tenderhearted young woman.

Appearance

Luna Wright features a bob hairstyle with hair draping over one eye. Her hair is depicted as pink in the animated adaptation, while characterized as blonde or pink-blonde in the original manga representation. She possesses red eyes. For headwear and ornamentation, she wears star-shaped hair clips along with flower decorations. Her outfit includes over-the-knee boots.

Personality

Luna constantly tries to present herself as a cool and capable woman, yet she is fundamentally earnest, softhearted, and prone to anxiety. Her romantic ideals drive her to pursue intelligent, hardworking individuals, leading her to make bold moves such as jumping ahead to enter medical school. Despite her composed pretenses, she easily expresses her emotions through vivid, exaggerated facial expressions. She is also fond of cute things like rabbits. Beneath her impressionable exterior lies impressive mental resilience, as evidenced by her maintaining consciousness throughout three millennia of petrification.

Abilities

Although she repeated a year at medical school after skipping grades in her studies, she consistently attended lectures and mastered fundamental medical knowledge. She can provide emergency first aid and perform surgical procedures under instruction, serving as a medical assistant for injured allies. Additionally, she displays notable dexterity in delicate craftwork, manufacturing miniature vacuum tubes and precision electronic components on a skill level comparable to Ogawa Yuzuriha and Joel.

Background

Born into a wealthy American family, Luna utilized her father's connections to skip grades into medical school, though she struggled with the curriculum and repeated a year. While working part-time at a national park cafe, she was trapped in the global petrification event. Approximately 3,700 years later, she was revived with nitric acid by her personal retainers, Carlos Barrios and Max Adams, and initially joined Dr. Xeno's scientific empire. Sent as an undercover spy to investigate the Kingdom of Science, her meeting with Ishigami Senku prompted her to defect, after which she contributed her medical skills and component-crafting abilities to their endeavors.

Relationships

Luna harbors deep romantic feelings for Ishigami Senku, viewing him as her ideal partner after being impressed by his intellect and his creation of soft-serve ice cream. After performing emergency medical treatment on the wounded Senku, she asked him to be her boyfriend—a proposal he accepted for tactical alignment—leading her to affectionately address him as such. Her loyal retainers, Carlos Barrios and Max Adams, have served as her bodyguard and driver for years; both hold deep devotion and romantic affection for her. She was also previously affiliated with Dr. Xeno and Stanley Snyder.

Trivia

Her given name Luna is believed to be derived from the concept of moonlight. Due to visual similarities such as her hair covering one eye and shared character traits like attempting to act cool while concealing a nervous, comical nature, she earned fan nicknames such as the American Ginro and the female Ginro.
