Taiju is a tall, highly muscular young man standing 189 cm tall and weighing 95 kg, with visible abdominal muscles. He has spiky, short brown hair and brown or black eyes. Additionally, he bears distinct facial marks resulting from his revival from petrification.

Taiju is exceptionally honest, warm-hearted, and passionate. Guided by a strict personal rule never to strike another person, he refuses to attack others regardless of the circumstances. While he openly struggles with complex intellectual tasks, he often displays sudden flashes of resourcefulness. He harbors deep, steadfast feelings for his childhood friend, Yuzuriha Ogawa; his determination to confess to her enabled him to stay conscious throughout 3,700 years of petrification. His bright demeanor and booming voice constantly energize those around him.
Abilities
Taiju possesses limitless stamina, impressive physical durability, and super-high physical strength. He can perform astounding feats of labor single-handedly, such as tilling vast farmland, carrying heavy materials, and executing hundreds of deep-sea dives to recover petrified statues. His body can endure powerful physical strikes without collapsing. He also boasts an extremely loud voice capable of serving as a functional substitute for a shock cannon, alongside a strong memory that allows him to recall key information when needed.
Background
Taiju met Senku at age ten and frequently assisted with his scientific experiments. Right before he could confess his feelings to Yuzuriha Ogawa in high school, a sudden light petrified all of humanity. Through sheer willpower, he maintained consciousness for 3,700 years until breaking free in the year 5738. After reuniting with Senku and creating the revival fluid, Taiju and Yuzuriha acted as undercover spies within the Tsukasa Empire. He subsequently joined the journey across the world and supported the mission to reach the Moon.
Relationships
Taiju shares an inseparable bond with his lifelong friend Senku Ishigami, compensating for Senku's physical shortcomings with his endless stamina. He holds deep feelings for his childhood friend Yuzuriha Ogawa, whom he eventually marries. Though initially opposing Tsukasa Shishio due to conflicting ideals, he later works alongside him. He also develops close working relationships with Gen Asagiri, Ukyo Saionji, Nikki, and Yo Uei.
Trivia
Taiju's favorite food is rice, and his favorite color is bronze. Although the story initially framed events through his perspective immediately after his revival, this was designed as a narrative strategy; Senku was always intended to be the true protagonist. His parents passed away prior to the global petrification event.
