Overview
Vit is a character featured in the animated series SSSS.GRIDMAN and the film GRIDMAN UNIVERSE. As a member of the four-person group known as the Neon Genesis Junior High Students, he displays the appearance of a tall, stylish young adult despite his team's name. He arrives to assist the hero Gridman, operating alongside his companions to support combat operations while blending into daily life.
Appearance
Vit has short blue hair with strands falling between his eyes, along with blue eyes. Possessing handsome facial features, he wears a black suit jacket and trousers paired with a grey collared shirt and a black necktie. His suit features a distinct decorative ornament on the chest area. He carries a crossbow-style weapon called the Blitz Bowgun.
Personality
Vit has a languid and detached personality, preferring to observe his surroundings from a distance rather than taking the spotlight. Although he often seems unmotivated, he pays close attention to what is happening around him and acts decisively when he deems it necessary. While his customer service can be indifferent when minding a store counter, he subtly looks out for his allies with helpful advice. At home, he maintains a passion for keeping tropical fish in an aquarium.
Abilities
In human form, Vit carries the Blitz Bowgun, a crossbow-like firearm useful for ranged shooting and obstacle destruction. When entering battle, he transforms into Sky Vitter, a blue fighter jet assist weapon specializing in aerial engagement. He uses high maneuverability, smoke screens, and targeted fire to confuse enemies, providing versatile combat support both independently and when combining with Gridman.
Background
Vit arrives in the city alongside the other Neon Genesis Junior High Students to aid Gridman in his mission. Basing his activities around the Junk Shop Aya, he spends quiet moments observing the town and occasionally helping mind the store. Whenever monster attacks occur, he enters combat as a support craft. He continues to monitor events behind the scenes and deploys whenever fresh crises threaten the world.
Relationships
Vit assists Gridman directly during encounters through his combat transformations. He maintains a watchful eyes over the Gridman Alliance, intervening to rescue Yuta Hibiki during a emergency and giving thoughtful counsel to Rikka Takarada when she acts recklessly. Rikka's mother affectionately refers to him as a handsome young man and trusts him to watch over the shop. Among fellow Neon Genesis Junior High Students like Samurai Calibur, Max, and Borr, he provides a calm and balanced presence.
Trivia
His name is derived from Vitter, the pilot and machine designation used in Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, the North American adaptation of the original Gridman series. Additionally, his suit ornament and signature weapon draw visual cues from the Dinobot Strafe in the live-action Transformers franchise. While the original tokusatsu counterpart features a futuristic red color scheme, Sky Vitter takes on a blue palette with a realistic jet silhouette.
