Appearance
Teba is a Rito warrior with the physical appearance of a white eagle. His body is covered in white feathers, and he features golden eyes. Around his neck, he wears a yellow scarf.
Personality
Teba is proud, fiercely competitive, and exceptionally driven. While his blunt demeanor and solitary nature can make him seem distant or rough at first, he is fundamentally honest, reliable, and deeply caring. His sharp words stem from straightforwardness rather than malice. He holds profound respect for the legendary Champion Revali, aspiring to match his strength and training his son, Tulin, with high expectations so that he might also grow into an outstanding warrior.
Abilities
Teba possesses outstanding aerial maneuverability even among the flight-gifted Rito, capable of carrying a passenger high into the sky while drawing enemy fire as a decoy. He is a master archer who wields the Great Eagle Bow, a legendary Rito weapon once carried by Champion Revali. In active combat, he primarily engages foes on the ground, unleashing wide-ranging barrages of bomb arrows through charged attacks and using Stasis to lock multiple enemies in place simultaneously.
Background
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Teba prepares at the Flight Range to challenge the malfunctioning Divine Beast Vah Medoh after his partner is injured. Upon testing Link's archery skills, he carries the Hylian into the sky to destroy Vah Medoh's shield cannons, though a leg injury forces him to retreat while Link reclaims the beast. In the altered timeline of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Teba travels back in time and saves Champion Revali from Windblight Ganon, earning the Champion's respect. By The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Teba becomes the new elder of Rito Village, guiding his people through a severe blizzard and eventually passing the Great Eagle Bow to his son, Tulin.
Relationships
Teba is married to Saki, and together they have a son named Tulin, whom Teba rigorously trains to become a fine warrior. He deeply idolizes the late Wind Champion Revali; in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, their temporal encounter leads Revali to acknowledge Teba's skill. Teba shares a strong bond with his fellow warrior Harth, whose injury prompted Teba's assault on Vah Medoh. He also holds immense respect and trust for Link after working together to rescue their village.
Trivia
The name Teba, when combined with his wife Saki's name, forms a Japanese wordplay referencing tebasaki (chicken wing tips), while their son Tulin's name comes from the tulip-style chicken wing cut. Unlike the other Champion successors who share bloodlines or personal bonds with their predecessors, Teba is unrelated to Revali and simply idolizes him. Additionally, he is the only Champion successor whose child, rather than himself, becomes a new Sage in Tears of the Kingdom. In Breath of the Wild, if Link approaches him at the Flight Range without wearing any clothes, Teba dryly comments on Link braving the freezing cold unclad.
