Utilizing two distinct types of kagune in battle, she is recognized as a dangerous combatant whose threat rating was escalated from Rank A to Rank S by the Commission of Counter Ghoul.
Appearance
Described as a beautiful woman, Nutcracker wears a bondage outfit complemented by a blindfold-like mask featuring a zipper over the eyes. She is also characterized by her blackened teeth, traditional ohaguro styling.
Personality
Nutcracker displays an extreme obsession with wealth and personal beauty, claiming that her unique dietary habit serves her cosmetic ends. Her intense drive for money and aesthetics stems from her impoverished childhood, during which she harbored a deep longing for pretty clothes and a beautiful life.
Abilities
She possesses a rare dual kagune structure, utilizing a Koukaku for combat and a detachable Bikaku for traps. Her Bikaku can be severed from her body and set to trigger automatically when an object approaches. Leveraging these dual abilities, she wiped out an entire squad of investigators single-handedly. Following her elimination, her combined kakuhou served as the raw material for a natural chimera quinque.
Background
Raised in extreme poverty as a young girl, she spent her early life yearning for beauty and elegant clothing. She later became involved in human trafficking and brutal feedings. During the confrontation at the auction, she crushed a squad of investigators, but her proximity-based trap mechanic was analyzed and counteracted by Ginshi Shirazu. Fatally wounded by Saiko Yonebayashi, she was ultimately dispatched by Shirazu. Her final words expressing a desperate wish for beauty left a haunting psychological impression on Shirazu.
Relationships
She maintained business ties with wealthy ghouls such as Big Madam by arranging human trafficking deals. In battle, she confronted Ginshi Shirazu and Saiko Yonebayashi. After her trap mechanism was overcome by Shirazu, she received a critical blow from Yonebayashi and was slain by Shirazu, whose mindset was deeply shaken by the encounter.
Trivia
While the alias Nutcracker derives from the traditional nutcracker doll, her moniker stems from her gruesome habit of crushing male testicles rather than actual nuts. Official setting materials reveal her true name to be Mayu.
