Overview

Elizabeth Liones is the main heroine of the series The Seven Deadly Sins. As the third princess of the Liones Kingdom, she flees her homeland following a coup d'état by the Holy Knights to seek out the legendary order known as the Seven Deadly Sins. Upon encountering Meliodas, the captain of the sins, she joins him on his journey across the realm, eventually taking up work as a waitress and acting manager at the Boar Hat tavern. Despite her highborn status, she bravely faces dangerous battles alongside her companions to restore peace to her kingdom.

Appearance

Elizabeth is a beautiful young woman with blue eyes and waist-length silver hair. Her right eye contains a mysterious symbol, which she keeps hidden behind her long front bangs due to a personal complex. She initially appears encased in massive, rusted armor as the rumored Rust Knight. Later, she wears a midriff-baring waitress outfit tailored to Meliodas's taste, subsequently adopting a maid dress, lightweight combat armor following her Druid training, and a newly designed tavern outfit. When channeling her peak divine magic, she manifests wings of light and wears a sacred outfit resembling the Supreme Deity.

Personality

Elizabeth possesses a gentle, soft-spoken demeanor paired with resolute fortitude. She remains steadfast against cruelty and injustice, never hesitating to risk her own safety to protect others or resolve desperate battles. Her complete trust in Meliodas leads her to support him unconditionally, gradually becoming accustomed to his playful harassment over time. Despite her refined royal upbringing, she exhibits a remarkably clumsy side in the kitchen, frequently confusing basic ingredients such as salt and sugar with terrible culinary results.

Abilities

Elizabeth wields formidable healing and purification magic. Her signature Super Healing Magic can revive withered plant life, mend fatal injuries, and repel demon magic. She uses specialized Goddess spells such as Invigorate to cure wounds and ailments, Tranquilize to purify toxic miasma, and Let there be Light to eradicate darkness. For combat, she casts Ark, which disintegrates targets with light particles. She can also deploy Suffering of Jonah to swallow dark energy, Saint Coat as a protective barrier, and Realm of Gods, a powerful spell that rapidly heals allies across vast distances at the cost of her own life energy.

Background

Raised as the third princess of Liones, Elizabeth is not King Baltra's biological daughter. Sixteen years prior to the main story, she was rescued as an infant by Meliodas during the destruction of Danafor before being adopted into the royal family. In truth, she is the reincarnation of a high-ranking Goddess—the daughter of the Supreme Deity—who lived three thousand years ago during the ancient Holy War. In her past life, she advocated for harmony among races and fell in love with Meliodas. As her latent memories and powers resurface during her journey, she faces her destiny alongside the Seven Deadly Sins to end the ancient conflict.

Relationships

Elizabeth shares an unshakable bond with Meliodas, swearing to trust him above all else. After surviving centuries of trial, the two eventually marry and have a son named Tristan. Among her family, her elder adoptive sister, Princess Veronica, affectionately dotes on her. Though the giantess Diane was initially distant, the two formed a deep, lifelong friendship born of mutual brave actions. She also shares a warm, affectionate friendship with Hawk, the talking pig who assists her with tavern duties and acts as her reliable companion.

Trivia

The name Elizabeth is derived from Arthurian legend, specifically referencing the mother of Tristan in Thomas Malory's compilation. During periods when Meliodas was absent from the Boar Hat, Elizabeth stepped in to act as the interim master and manage the tavern's operations. In later story developments, she ascends to the position of Queen of the Liones Kingdom, supporting her family and country.
