Overview
A character in The Seven Deadly Sins. Initially appearing as a high-ranking Cardinal among the Holy Knights of the Kingdom of Liones, his true identity is a Fairy who has lived for approximately 1,300 years and is the closest friend of King (Harlequin). He conceals his genuine form behind human disguises, playing a pivotal role in the narrative while carrying a tragic history.
Appearance
In his original fairy form, he has the physical appearance of a small youth with pointed ears and wings on his back. He features light green hair with strands falling over his eyes, yellow-green eyes, and attire fashioned after green leaves. When assuming a human persona, he takes the form of an elderly man with facial hair, wearing an eyepatch over one eye and clad in heavy armor. Additionally, he disguises himself using a distinctive helmet while acting as the referee Love Helm.
Personality
Originally a cheerful and innocent fairy who harbored a strong curiosity and goodwill toward human beings, he became cold and vengeful after suffering a devastating betrayal where his fellow fairies were slaughtered. This trauma fueled a bitter hatred for humanity, yet his deep bond and lingering attachment to his best friend King remain a central part of his character.
Abilities
He possesses the magical power Link, which enables him to draw upon and channel the magic of others to enhance his capabilities. He also commands shape-shifting abilities that allow him to transform into alternate personas such as the aged knight Aldrich or the referee Love Helm. In combat, he wields a sword. His official power level is recorded at 1,400, broken down into 750 magic, 200 strength, and 450 spirit.
Background
Having met King around 1,300 years ago, he developed a deep friendship with him. However, his fascination with humans led to disaster when traders murdered his fellow fairies for their wings. Traumatized by the slaughter, he embarked on a centuries-long crusade of retribution against mankind. Within the Kingdom of Liones, he secured a position as a Cardinal and plotted in secrecy. Though his physical life eventually came to an end after clashing with King, his spirit remained attached to the Love Helm helmet, allowing him to stay beside his best friend as a spectral guide.
Relationships
King (Harlequin) is his lifelong best friend from the Fairy Clan. Despite Helbram's tragic turn toward vengeance and their subsequent clashes, their mutual connection remains profound, with Helbram continuing to support King as a spirit even after his demise.
Trivia
His tragic fate was originally set in motion by his keen interest in human customs and crafts. The helmet he worn during his guise as Love Helm originates from a human helmet he had taken a liking to in the distant past.
