Overview
Hendricksen is a character from The Seven Deadly Sins and its sequel, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse. Serving alongside Dreyfus, he was one of the two Great Holy Knights of the Liones Kingdom. Although originally a gentle person of Druid heritage, he becomes a major antagonist due to demonic plotting.
Appearance
He is a mature, muscular man with short white hair, blue eyes, and a neatly trimmed goatee. When he absorbs Demon Clan blood, his body temporarily regains its youth with markings similar to Meliodas, before undergoing further transformation upon consuming Gray Demon blood.
Personality
At his core, Hendricksen is extremely mild-mannered, kind, and calm, though his background leaves him somewhat naive in societal matters. He also harbors a fear of the dark. While under brainwashing, however, he exhibited a cold, ruthless demeanor obsessed with conflict.
Abilities
He possesses the innate magical ability Acid, which corrodes and disintegrates matter, alongside Purge, a Druid magic that cleanses unnatural souls. During his period of demonic empowerment, he gained access to Hellblaze, Dark Snow, and other deadly techniques.
Background
Exiled from his home village as a child due to his corrosive magic, Hendricksen later became a Great Holy Knight. Years later, he was mind-controlled by the demon Fraudrin after sacrificing his autonomy to protect his friend Dreyfus. Used as a pawn to stage a coup and revive the Demon Clan, he eventually broke free of the control, helped save Dreyfus, and later dedicated his life to running a medical clinic.
Relationships
Dreyfus is his lifelong friend and trusted counterpart. He holds deep respect for Zaratras and Meliodas. After regaining his true self, he journeyed alongside Princess Margaret to protect her during her search for Gilthunder.
Trivia
His Acid power originally manifested during his childhood out of a desire to avoid touching corpses while guarding graves. Due to his secluded upbringing among Druids, he is extraordinarily straightforward in personal matters, such as proposing immediately after receiving a polite compliment from a woman.
