Da Pan
Da Pan, whose real name is Pan Yuan, is an Operator in Arknights: Endfield. Belonging to the Ursus race, he formerly served as an outstanding researcher and Tianshi at the Hongshan Academy of Sciences, one of the three major organizations on Talos II. After leaving the academy, he worked various jobs including running a hot pot restaurant and performing trade work, before joining Endfield Industries as a specialist liaison through the recommendation of Chen Qianyu. Despite his academic achievements, he takes the greatest pride in his calling as a chef.

Appearance
Da Pan is a male Ursus who manifests visually as an anthropomorphic panda with white fur and claws. His attire features dark sunglasses, a black jacket emblazoned with lettering, a shirt, black trousers, and black gloves. When moving at speed, he drops onto all fours. He consistently carries a thermos flask awarded to him during his time as a researcher.
Personality
Da Pan possesses a warm, dependable, and modest temperament. He frequently offers thoughtful advice to younger comrades based on his vast practical experience. Rather than boasting of his own accomplishments, he makes a point of praising the achievements of others. He is particularly gentle toward children, often providing meals to those in need. His passion for culinary arts is boundless, and he derives immense joy from seeing people enjoy his cooking.
Abilities
In combat, Da Pan wields a greatsword as a physical-attribute Assault operator. His battle style relies on consuming Crush Arts anomalies accumulated through teamwork to deal heavy physical damage paired with levitation effects. Outside of combat, he possesses mastery over culinary heat control as well as extensive skills in equipment fabrication, mechanical engineering, carpentry, and driving.
Background
Originating from Wuling City, Da Pan joined the Hongshan Academy of Sciences as a young prodigy, eventually earning an Advanced Researcher award. While investigating the dangerous Rifts alongside Zuoan Fangyi, an incident occurred involving a trapped researcher. Da Pan opposed the leadership's decision to abandon the rescue effort and subsequently resigned. After quitting the academy, he pursued a free-spirited lifestyle as a craftsman and restaurateur before taking his current liaison position.
Relationships
Da Pan shares a strong connection with his fellow countrywoman Chen Qianyu, who recommended him for his current post at Endfield Industries. During his tenure at the Hongshan Academy of Sciences, he was a close research partner of Zuoan Fangyi, working together on Rift studies and holding shared convictions during their dispute with the academy's management.
Trivia
During early beta testing, his entrance animation originally depicted him tossing away unfinished noodles; this was altered to having him store the bowl away after feedback noted it was out of character for a chef. Additionally, the unique lettering on his jacket is believed to be a coined term combining regional culinary terms.
