Overview
Droite is a supporting character in Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL II. At 19 years old, she initially serves as a staff member managing the World Duel Carnival under Mr. Heartland. Calm and collected, she works closely alongside her childhood friend Gauche. After breaking away from Mr. Heartland's faction, she transitions into acting as a manager to support Gauche's duel career and safeguard the dreams of local children.
Appearance
Droite features two-tone hair colored purple and black, paired with orange eyes. When activating a specific eye mark, her eyes shift to a green color, giving her heterochromia. She wields a Duel Disk that incorporates a butterfly motif into its design.
Personality
Droite maintains a calm, composed, and serious demeanor. She serves as a grounded counterpart to Gauche's hot-headed behavior. Deeply devoted beneath her reserved exterior, she harbours a long-standing unrequited love for Kaito Tenjo after he rescued her during their youth, leading her to put herself in harm's way for his sake. She prefers working behind the scenes rather than taking the spotlight.
Abilities
Droite commands a butterfly-themed deck centered around 'Butterspy' (Phantom Butterfly Assassin) monsters. Her ace Xyz Monsters include 'Photon Papilloperative' (Photon Butterfly Assassin), 'Photon Alexandra Queen', and 'Night Butterspy'. She excels at locking down opponents' actions by combining continuous Spell Cards such as 'Invitation of the Dead Butterfly', 'Allure of the Phantom Butterfly', and 'Assassin Gate'.
Background
Raised in an orphanage in Spartan City alongside Gauche, Droite was taken in by Mr. Heartland and subjected to rigorous training before becoming a World Duel Carnival official. To protect Kaito Tenjo, she challenged Vetrix (Tron) during the tournament finals, but suffered defeat and had her memories of Kaito stolen. After Dr. Faker's defeat restored her memories, she returned to her hometown to work as Gauche's manager.
Relationships
Gauche is her lifelong friend and companion from the same orphanage, whose professional duel career she manages. She holds a deep, quiet romantic devotion toward Kaito Tenjo, born from when he saved her during their childhood training. She also interacts with Yuma Tsukumo, Alito, and the Barian emperor Dumon through key duels.
Trivia
In her childhood, Droite's visual design shared similarities with Rio Kamishiro. Although she underwent training alongside Gauche and Kaito Tenjo at age 15, her stylized character design gives her a notably more mature appearance relative to her actual age.
