Appearance
Phaser features blue eyes with distinct crescent moon patterns in his pupils. He has green hair styled in a ponytail with multicolored streaks and highlights. Beneath his humanoid appearance, he possesses a true dragon form characterized by glowing red eyes.
Personality
Though initially appearing as a stoic and ruthless dictator who thoroughly suppresses alien presence, Phaser is a strategic and open-minded leader. He respects clever tactics during Duels and evaluates opponents with composure. Beneath his stern demeanor lies a strong sense of responsibility, often orchestrated through subtle schemes to protect the livelihoods and futures of his subordinates.
Abilities
Phaser utilizes a DARK Sea Serpent-type "Abyss Layer" deck that focuses on recycling cards from the graveyard into the deck to draw resources and overwhelm opponents. He wields powerful Maximum Monsters, including "Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken" and "Abyssal Dragon Lord Abyss Poseidra." In addition to manipulating ancient ruins to enforce unique Dueling rules, he can transform into a colossal Space Dragon.
Background
Phaser is a survivor of the ancient Space Dragons, a heritage tied to the long-standing history of the Ryugu family on Earth. During a two-year period, he took absolute control of MIK, turning it into a force that hunted down aliens and used card-transformation rules to neutralize opposition. During his decisive duel with Yudias Velgear, his dragon blood caused him to lose control temporarily. After his defeat, he made peace with the aliens and pivoted MIK toward facilitating cosmic integration.
Relationships
He shares a strong bond with his younger brother, Ryugu Tremolo, who knows how to calm him when his dragon nature erupts. He maintains a complex dynamic with Sogetsu Manabu, acting harsh outwardly while secretly safeguarding him. Following his high-stakes Duel against Yudias Velgear, Phaser forged a respectful alliance with him, even trusting Zwijo and Ohdo Yuhi by incorporating their cards into his deck during critical battles.
Trivia
Goradonium, a substance derived from the fossils of his dragon ancestors, was the hidden cause attracting extraterrestrials to Mutsuba Town. During his dragon transformation, covering his head with a piece of cloth instantly restores his calm.
