Raised in Rulid Village, Eugeo spent years fulfilling his assigned duty of chopping the Gigas Cedar after his childhood friend Alice Zuberg was taken away for violating the Sacred Arts Code. Upon reuniting with Kazuto Kirigaya, the two felled the tree and embarked on a journey to become swordsmen. After winning the Zakkaria tournament and rising to elite student status at the Norlangarth Imperial Swordcraft Academy, Eugeo broke the System Code to save his junior attendant from noble abuse. Arrested and taken to the Central Cathedral, he briefly succumbed to brainwashing as Integrity Knight Eugeo Synthesis Thirty-Two before regaining consciousness to fight the High Priest Administrator.

Eugeo shares a profound bond of brotherhood and mutual trust with Kazuto Kirigaya (Kirito), who serves as both his closest companion and sword instructor.
