Flashy Flash is an S-Class Rank 13 professional hero in One-Punch Man. He is a beautiful, long-haired swordsman who utilizes deadly assassination techniques and blinding speed in combat. Despite his lower rank among the S-Class heroes, his physical capabilities and combat prowess place him among the premier top-tier heroes in the organization, and he takes immense pride in his unmatched swiftness.

Appearance

His design varies between the original webcomic and the remake. In the original version, he has shoulder-length hair with long front bangs, wearing a collarless shirt, pants, and a cape. In the remake, he features long hair down his back held by light-effect hairpins, wearing a tight black bodysuit, iron armor on his chest and shoulders, and thin high heels.

Personality

Having been raised as a cold-blooded assassin, Flashy Flash typically maintains a stoic and emotionless demeanor, yet he possesses a deeply serious sense of professional ethics as a hero. He harbors supreme pride in his speed, considering himself the main figure in combat. Beneath his calm exterior lies a surprisingly stubborn and short-tempered personality; he stubbornly refuses to concede defeat even when clearly outmatched and can act impulsively when provoked.

Flashy Flash specializes in hyper-speed swordsmanship, originally wielding his favorite katana Shunsatsumaru. His movement speed is so extraordinary that enemies are dispatched before realizing they were attacked. Beyond armed combat, he excels at hand-to-hand martial arts. His arsenal includes the high-speed strike Flashy Slash, the rapid kicking technique Flashy Kicks, the afterimage-creating Flowing Shadow Feet, the ultra-fast punch barrage Flashy Fist, as well as secret manual arts such as Wave Wind Blade Kick and Sky-Ripping Scattered Flash Slash.

Background

Sold at five years old, Flashy Flash was raised in the brutal Ninja Village as part of the 'End' 44th graduation class. Secretly planning to destroy the organization, he intentionally feigned being a slacker to undergo the harshest training while forming a quiet bond with Speed-o'-Sound Sonic. On graduation day, he executed the 'End's 44th Incident,' eliminating the instructors and students to collapse the village. He later joined the Hero Association, eventually clashing with the Monster Association and confronting his ninja past alongside Sonic.

Relationships

Speed-o'-Sound Sonic is his former classmate from the Ninja Village and his long-standing rival. After Saitama effortlessly blocked his signature techniques and broke his beloved sword, Flashy Flash stubbornly refused to admit inferiority, instead trying to take Saitama under his wing. He frequently clashes with Sweet Mask due to conflicting personalities and engaged in a fierce battle against Awakened Garou during the Monster Association conflict.

Trivia

His striking appearance in the manga remake, incorporating subtle high heels alongside sleek metal armor, complements his dynamic and graceful fighting style. In the series, Saitama gives him a memorable personal nickname based entirely on his distinctive long bangs.
