Bronya Zaychik

Overview

Bronya Zaychik is a main character in miHoYo's Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai Gakuen series. Formerly known as the deadly assassin "Silver Wolf of Urals," she was raised in Cocolia's Orphanage under the anti-Honkai organization Negentropy. Due to experimental procedures in her past, she lost both her emotional responsiveness and the full use of her legs, relying on her floating combat unit, Project Bunny 19C, for mobility and battle. Joining St. Freya Academy alongside her companions, she fights against the threat of Honkai.

Appearance

Bronya is characterized by her long grey hair bound into distinctive twin drills, paired with grey eyes and hair falling between her eyes. Visual depictions feature her wearing earrings, bare-shoulder dresses, and black gloves. Her attire varies across different battlesuits and alternate timeline forms, ranging from dark military-style coats and winter jackets to dark-armored variants, and eventually an adult design with let-down hair.

Personality

Due to past experiments, Bronya speaks in a flat, monotone manner and rarely exhibits overt emotions. She approaches situations with cold rationality, yet possesses a deeply caring heart for her allies. She is a passionate fan of the mascot character Homu, collecting vast amounts of merchandise, and is an avid gamer with a legendary online reputation. Despite her stoic persona, she takes good care of younger peers and excels at domestic tasks like cooking.

Abilities

In combat, Bronya operates Project Bunny 19C, which provides offensive support, counterattacks, and levitation via repulsors. She excels at long-range marksmanship and employs an array of heavy weaponry including rocket launchers, charge cannons, lasers, and missiles. Furthermore, she possesses advanced capabilities in computer programming and electronic hacking.

Background

Originating from Siberia, Bronya acted as a child assassin before being taken in by Cocolia's Orphanage. After undergoing the tragic X-10 Experiment, she lost her physical mobility and part of her brain function. She later encountered Kiana and Mei during the outbreak in Nagazora, eventually transitioning from Negentropy to St. Freya Academy to join the fight against Honkai while seeking to protect those dearest to her.

Relationships

Bronya shares a profoundly tight bond with Seele Vollerei, whom she raised and protected at the orphanage. She deeply respects Raiden Mei, affectionately addressing her as an older sister figure, while frequently engaging in playful bickering with Kiana Kaslana. Her relationship with her adoptive mother and former superior, Cocolia, remains conflicted due to Cocolia's warm care alongside her cold pursuit of experimental goals.

Trivia

In Russian, her name components correspond to words for armor ("Броня") and bunny or an affectionate nickname ("Зайчик"). Known in-universe for her gaming handle, she has also appeared as a crossover collaboration character in other titles.
