Mobius

Overview

Mobius is a character from the mobile game Honkai Impact 3rd. A brilliant scientist from the Previous Era who belonged to the anti-Honkai organization MOTH, she ranks tenth among the Thirteen Flame-Chasers and carries the Signet of Infinity. First introduced toward the end of Chapter 1 of the Elysian Realm, she serves as a pivotal figure driven by an unyielding pursuit of truth.

Appearance

Mobius features long, wavy green hair with bangs between her eyes, accompanied by deep green pupils reminiscent of a snake. She wears a black tiara on her head and golden earrings. Her outfit is an ornate, sleeveless black dress with exposed shoulders and tassel accents, paired with black elbow-length gloves fitted with sharp claws.

Personality

Mobius is a brilliant mad scientist who disregards prestige in favor of relentless research. She maintains a provocative, condescending demeanor and treats subjects like laboratory animals, yet she abides by a personal rule to use herself as the first test subject and never conduct experiments without consent. Beneath her sharp words lies a hidden attachment to those she favors, ultimately caring for them despite her denials. Indifferent to daily life, she subsists on stockpiled cup noodles and delegates chores to her assistant and android. She also has an extremely low alcohol tolerance, becoming incoherently drunk and collapsing after consuming even small amounts.

Abilities

Fused with the Honkai Beast Sesha, Mobius possesses the capability to resurrect over time after dying, experiencing a bodily regression in age as a side effect. Although unconscious while dead, her body instinctively absorbs surrounding nourishment; following her death at the hands of her assistant, a physical shadow manifested from her form to absorb the assistant along with her Herrscher core.

Background

During the Previous Era, Mobius served as a high-ranking scientist within the anti-Honkai organization MOTH. Seeking to understand the fundamental truths of the Honkai, she conducted extensive research—often performing experiments on herself—and secured her standing as one of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers. She later took ownership of the Golden Courtyard originally belonging to Eden, transforming it into the Elysian Realm.

Relationships

Mobius relied on her assistant Klein for daily chores; when Klein awakened as the 10th Herrscher and killed Mobius, Mobius's passive regeneration resulted in absorbing Klein and her core. She similarly left household tasks to Prometheus, an android she created. Though she claims to dislike Elysia, the two are close, and Mobius retreats whenever Elysia and Eden try to force her into frilly dresses. Additionally, Su witnessed the tragic confrontation between Klein and Mobius, harboring lingering remorse for failing to save them.

Trivia

Her name is derived from the Möbius strip, symbolic of infinity, while her assistant Klein takes her name from the Klein bottle. Due to how cute others find her helpless state when intoxicated, she is occasionally targeted by pranks involving alcohol snuck into her drinks.
