Seele Vollerei

Overview

Seele Vollerei is a character in Honkai Gakuen 2 and Honkai Impact 3rd. Raised in Cocolia's Orphanage, she shares a deep, sisterly affection for Bronya Zaychik. After a failed experiment resulted in her body taking on a quantum state, she became lost within spatial realms. She harbors two distinct personalities within her: a gentle, timid persona and a fierce, aggressive alter ego.

Appearance

Seele has short, two-tone hair that is black on the outside and blue on the inside, accompanied by blue eyes. A rare natural stigma is engraved on her chest. When her inner alter ego takes control, her eyes turn red and her visual theme shifts to red. She carries a massive scythe as her primary weapon.

Personality

Seele's primary personality is gentle, soft-spoken, and easily frightened, possessing a deep aversion to violence. She is deeply devoted to Bronya Zaychik, harboring an intense affection and reliance on her. Conversely, her inner alter ego—born from her stigma—is fierce, assertive, and prone to aggressive behavior, though she remains protective of Seele and Bronya.

Abilities

Due to her quantum state, Seele can phase through matter and manipulate quantum traits in combat. Her natural stigma enables her to project barriers, enhance her evasion, and unleash sweeping scythe strikes with physical or elemental damage. She also possesses the power of reconstruction, which allowed the creation of Project Bunny 19C, and can manifest combat forms utilizing the full extent of her stigma and Herrscher powers.

Background

Hailing from Estonia, Seele was taken in by Cocolia's Orphanage, where she formed a powerful bond with Bronya. To protect Bronya, she volunteered for Anti-Entropy's X-10 experiment, which caused her body to quantumize and dissolve into a probability state. After wandering through the Sea of Quanta for a prolonged period, she was eventually rescued through her connection with Bronya, returning to reality to fight alongside her allies.

Relationships

She idolizes Bronya Zaychik as her older sister, relying heavily on her support. Cocolia served as her adoptive mother at the orphanage. Sin Mal frequently targeted her with bullying in the past, prompting Seele's alter ego to retaliate harshly. She maintains warm friendships with fellow squadmates such as Kiana Kaslana, Rosalia, and Liliya.

Trivia

Her name is derived from the German words for "soul" (Seele) and "gluttony" (Vollerei). Narrative links exist between her stigma and the Previous Era's Herrscher of Death, as well as the 6th Divine Key, Abyss Flower. A parallel counterpart of her character also appears in Honkai: Star Rail.
