Otto appears as a handsome young man with long blonde hair tied in a low ponytail, an M-shaped fringe between his green eyes. His primary outfit consists of a collared black shirt underneath a long-sleeved white jacket, paired with white trousers and black footwear. He is accented with a red sash around his waist and a cross pendant hanging from his jacket, and has also been depicted wearing a top hat.
Personality
Otto possesses an extraordinarily sharp mind coupled with a cold, rational outlook. While fully aware of his own moral depravity and ready to label himself a villain or a fool, he disregards ethics whenever they interfere with his main goal. Despite his ruthless pragmatic streak, he presents himself as a refined and humorous gentleman. He exhibits a surprisingly doting, affectionate attitude toward his cloned granddaughter Theresa, occasionally indulging in eccentric antics like developing video games or cross-dressing for recreation.
Abilities
Otto wields the 1st Divine Key, Void Archives, granting him access to an advanced pre-civilization knowledge repository and the power to mimic other weapons and Divine Keys. Through the use of synthetic Soulium bodies, he can transfer his consciousness across hundreds of backup units upon destruction, achieving functional immortality. In combat, he has utilized simulated forms of Shamash and Black Abyss White Flower, crimson fluid projectiles, and later seized powers including the Authority of Domination, the Authority of Constraint, and the authority of a False God.
Background
Born in 1452 into House Apocalypse, Otto was initially looked down upon by his family due to his frail health. His friendship with Kallen Kaslana inspired him to throw himself into research on the Honkai. Following Kallen's execution in 1477, he seized control of Schicksal and devoted five centuries to pursuing her resurrection. Through ruthless human trials, cloning projects, and cosmic manipulations, he guided historical events toward his ultimate objective, eventually confronting the Imaginary Tree to rewrite reality and grant Kallen a surviving timeline at the cost of his own existence.
Relationships
Kallen Kaslana is Otto's primary motivation, serving as his absolute devotion throughout his life. He adopted her clone, Theresa Apocalypse, as his beloved granddaughter. He maintained a long-standing alliance with Fu Hua to protect Shenzhou in exchange for her service to Schicksal, and developed a friendship with Li Sushang. Conversely, he stood as a dangerous enemy to Anti-Entropy leaders like Welt Joyce and Welt Yang. He also took Bianka Ataegina (Durandal) under his wing, helping mold her into Schicksal's strongest knight.
Trivia
In his youth, Otto personally crafted thief costumes for Kallen and even cross-dressed to distract guards on her behalf. He also programmed custom video games directly into Schicksal's Valkyrie training simulators, and once drunkenly mailed a photograph of himself in a Halloween costume to his arch-rival Welt Joyce.
