Delta

Overview

Delta, also known as Fervent Tempo Δ, is a battlesuit and character featured in the event storylines of Honkai Impact 3rd as an augmented form of Rozaliya Olenyeva. Serving as a solitary warrior aboard the Hyperion navigating the Sea of Quanta, she undertakes missions under the Ferryman's directions to traverse various Bubble Worlds to recover unknown anomalies. Refusing to be addressed by her true name, she goes strictly by her code name.

Appearance

Delta features long twin-tailed hair with streaks of pink and blue, blue eyes, thick eyebrows, bare shoulders, and black gloves. While visually resembling Rozaliya Olenyeva, she has a distinct tail tip shape as well as a different number and color of horns. Her chronic insomnia often leaves her with visible dark circles around her eyes. She also possesses an alternate costume called 8-bit Fever.

Personality

Despite her petite stance, Delta possesses the composed and pragmatic demeanor of a seasoned combatant. She often speaks in a distant tone during missions, though she shows a more approachable, youthfully casual side when off-duty. Beneath her stoic exterior lies a surprisingly caring nature; she readily assists others and takes time to mentor novices. Due to an unusual condition causing allergy-like reactions to dreams, she suffers from chronic sleep deprivation.

Abilities

Operating as a Psy-type physical attacker, Delta commands a unique combat style, dual-wielding the greatswords Sleeper's Dream and Swan Lake using both her hands and her tail. She generates a unique pink and blue ink-like substance created from her emotions and Honkai energy, causing a contagion effect on targets hit by it. In battle, she can briefly submerge into the ground while spreading ink, execute counters, and trigger a Fervent state that enables swift, relentless dual-sword strikes.

Background

Delta is originally an alternate version of Rozaliya Olenyeva from a world where her younger sister passed away. After suffering fatal injuries, Delta survived because her sister sacrificed herself, resulting in their merging. Haunted by the grief of failing to protect her beloved sister, she abandoned her former cheerful, naive self and remade herself into a solitary warrior crossing dimensions.

Relationships

She receives her assignments directly from the Ferryman on the Hyperion. Her colleague Yae Kasumi acknowledges her immense fighting strength, noting that Delta's powers are best suited for solo combat. Delta takes special interest in the alternate universe's Olenyeva sisters, training them rigorously so they won't repeat her tragic fate. She also once looked after Seele during her travels.

Trivia

Delta's combat maneuvers, particularly spreading ink and briefly diving underground during evasions, draw stylistic cues from notable action games. Her signature PRI-ARM weapon, Sleeper's Dream, features a rare crafting property that allows it to be forged from either of two distinct base weapons without retaining their original skills.
