Overview

Shigure Kira is an A-Rank Valkyrie belonging to the Schicksal organization in the Honkai series, debuting in Honkai Gakuen and featured in Honkai Impact 3rd. Formerly a member of the elite Snow Wolf Squad led by Cecilia Schariac, she earned the title of Floating Prominence. Originally aspiring to be a shining stage idol, she unexpectedly became a Valkyrie, continuing to pursue her artistic passion alongside her combat duties across bubble universes.

Appearance

Shigure Kira is characterized by long blue hair adorned with a braid, an ahoge, and a hair ornament, paired with blue eyes and blue-painted nails. Her outfit features a bare-shoulder dress combined with fingerless gloves and black over-knee socks. Across different iterations and stigmata sets, she wears various themed costumes including her Starry Sugar battlesuit.

Personality

On the surface, Kira is lively, confident, and optimistic, maintaining a strong pride in her identity as an idol to hide her inner vulnerabilities and escapist tendencies. She is intensely devoted to her former leader, Cecilia Schariac, acting fierce against anyone connected to her past loss. Despite her quirks, she is a deeply caring and reliable mentor figure toward younger Valkyries.

Abilities

In battle, Kira utilizes dual pistols, sniper rifles, and heavy cannons, specializing in ranged ice support and quick-time events. After bonding with the Sugar alien Niggurath, her body ceased aging, granting her the unique capability to traverse the Sea of Quanta and explore bubble universes. While her dancing and performance skills are top-tier, her singing voice is notoriously lethal, inflicting severe neurological distress on anyone who hears it.

Background

Kira accidentally enlisted as a Valkyrie while trying to join an idol audition alongside her role model, Salome Jokanaan. During the Second Eruption, she sustained critical injuries while fighting Benares, surviving only by fusing with the alien entity Niggurath. After drifting through bubble universes as a member of the Sugars to escape the pain of her comrades' deaths, she eventually reunited with Bianca Ataegina, confronted the entity Sa, and returned to Schicksal to guide the next generation.

Relationships

Kira deeply idolizes Cecilia Schariac and holds an intense grudge against Siegfried Kaslana. Salome Jokanaan served as both her senior Valkyrie and her idol mentor. She acts as a supportive elder sister figure to younger heroines such as Bianca Ataegina, Seele Vollerei, and Susannah. Additionally, she shares a unique bond with Misteln Schariac, who is the sole individual capable of genuinely enjoying Kira's singing. In the Honkai Gakuen timeline, she is affectionately regarded by Kiana Kaslana as a trusted mentor.

Trivia

Kira owns a distinctive graphic T-shirt fully printed with Cecilia's face, which is available as an in-game outfit. Her signature catchphrase is 'Sparkling Kira Star!', and she actively balances her Valkyrie duties with civilian idol performances.
