Overview

Perun (known as Tokiha in Japanese) is a Rare Blade featured in the role-playing video game Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Obtained through Blade Bonding, she is a female warrior who belongs to the Ice element and fills an Attack role, wielding a lance in battle. Characterized by her strong sense of justice and chivalric demeanor, she dedicates her power to protecting the weak and upholding her noble ideals.

Appearance

Perun is a dark-skinned warrior with long blue hair styled into a ponytail and blue eyes. Her design incorporates long rabbit-like animal ears, head bows, earrings, a forehead jewel, a chest jewel, gloves, and a tail. She wears a striking white outfit and carries a large, distinctive three-pronged lance as her weapon.

Personality

Perun possesses a cool, dignified demeanor grounded in an unshakeable sense of chivalry and moral righteousness. She is deeply protective of the vulnerable, particularly children, and will refuse to stand by when innocent lives are endangered. While uncompromising when confronting wickedness, she also enjoys refined tastes, showing a fondness for fish, textiles, dark roast coffee, and specific musical instruments.

Abilities

In combat, Perun manipulates ice ether through powerful lance techniques, including rapid thrusts, forming massive ice blocks, and summoning giant ice pillars. Her battle capabilities grant damage boosts and damage reduction when allies are endangered or incapacitated, while lowering aggro generated from basic strikes. Beyond combat, she utilizes Field Skills such as Ice Mastery, Ancient Civilization Knowledge, and her unique Chivalry skill.

Background

During her travels, Perun learns of missing children in Argentum and launches a solo investigation that leads her to a mad scientist operating out of an abandoned factory in Mor Ardain. Confronting the mastermind behind a plot involving artificial Blade technology, she refuses to back down even when children are used as shields. With the assistance of Rex and his companions, she subdues the threat and chooses to hand the culprit over to legal authorities rather than taking the law into her own hands.

Relationships

Perun works alongside Rex and his party during key investigative endeavors, forming a reliable alliance with them. Her strict adherence to duty and order aligns her temperament closely with characters of similar discipline, such as Mòrag Ladair of Mor Ardain.

Perun's visual design was illustrated by Takahiro Kimura, with coloring credited to RICCA. Within the game's Merc Group mechanics, her unique squad is designated as the Silver Lancers.
