Overview

Wulfric is a Rare Blade featured in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Awakened predictably from the Beastly Core Crystal obtained after defeating a boss monster in Uraya, he possesses a dark, demonic aesthetic. Despite his fearsome physique that often leads others to mistake him for a wild beast, he is fundamentally gentle, polite, and eager to communicate openly with people.

Appearance

Wulfric features a intimidating, demon-like design with long hair, sharp teeth, and sharp claws. His overall dark, monstrous visual silhouette frequently causes those around him to confuse his presence with that of an actual monster.

Personality

Contrary to his terrifying facade and booming voice, Wulfric is exceptionally polite, humble, and earnest. He values peaceful dialogue, approaching humans, Blades, Drivers, and even wild creatures with equal respect. Troubled by how easily his design frightens others, he genuinely desires to hold friendly conversations without inducing fear.

Abilities

As an Earth-element Attack Blade wielding a Megalance, Wulfric excels in high physical damage. His specials include Brutal Lance, the energy beam Terminate Blaster, the high-jumping Hellbound, and Apocalypse, which unleashes rapid thrusts before firing a chest laser. His field skills encompass Superstrength, Earth Mastery, and Focus.

Background

Initially bound to a boss monster in Uraya, Wulfric returns to a crystal state before joining the player's group. During a quest in Tantal, he leaps into action to save trapped miners from rockfalls. He subsequently defuses a crisis involving territorial Gogol beasts by negotiating a peaceful compromise that respects both the creatures' ancestral habitat and human safety.

Relationships

Certain heart-to-heart conditions tied to Wulfric's growth require him to be bound to Rex. Combat-wise, he shares weapon type and damage-enhancing traits with fellow Megalance user Prairie blade Theory/Mikumari.

Trivia

His Japanese name, Djikarao, derives from Ameno-tajikarao, a deity of immense strength in Japanese mythology. His visual design was illustrated by Ryosuke Aiba of CyDesignation.
