Appearance
Faputa has dark brown skin with much of her body covered in soft white fur. Her head features outward-curving wing-like ears and hair with M-shaped bangs, topped with three ruby-red horns. She has large golden eyes that contract into a cracked-glass pattern when enraged, alongside a mouth lined with sharp predatory fangs and a distinct outie belly button. She possesses four arms ending in three sharp red claws with a hidden fourth sensory claw. Five fluffy tails resembling Tokoshieko flowers extend from her waist. Her feet can reshape to wrap around objects, and her body can compress into a fluffball. Following her restoration, her hair lengthens with golden highlights.
Personality
Faputa combines the brutal fierceness and pride of a wild beast with the innocent, honest curiosity of a young child. Despite her savagery when enraged, she can adopt a dignified demeanor. She habitually attaches -sosu to her sentences, a verbal habit adopted to sound polite in front of Reg. Faputa expresses affection through physical contact, such as clinging to or rubbing against those she trusts. Although she initially harbored relentless hatred and vengeful malice toward the villagers who mistreated her mother, her interactions and newly acquired memories help her cultivate a broader awareness, eventually becoming fiercely loyal and affectionate to her companions.
Abilities
Faputa exhibits extreme regenerative capabilities, restoring lost limbs through feeding or energy absorption. Her four arms provide fine dexterity, while her hidden fourth claws sense temperature shifts and identify individuals from bodily fluids. Immune to the Abyss's ascension strain, her eyes can perceive the soul structures of beings and artifacts, rendering invisible creatures detectable. She identifies edible prey by scent and bites off enemy tissue during combat to inflict cumulative damage. By combining her waste with 6th-layer minerals or blood, she creates a powerful adhesive paste. Additionally, she can perceive and translate the voices of souls embedded within White Whistles.
Background
Faputa was born as the final, only healthy child of Irumyuui, who was transformed by the Cradle of Desire. Tasked with the destiny of avenging her devoured siblings and liberating her mother's trapped soul, she was initially prevented from entering the hollow village by its barrier. She was nurtured by the interference unit Gabuurun and formed a loving bond and promise with Reg during his past visit. Years later, after Reg returned without memory, an opening created by his Incinerator allowed her to infiltrate the village. Through a fierce conflict, receiving memories from Belaf, and witnessing the villagers' sacrifice, she evolved beyond her raw vengeance, liberated her mother, buried Vueko, and chose to join Riko's delve squad.
Relationships
Faputa was born to fulfill the wish of her mother, Irumyuui. She held immense gratitude for the interference unit Gabuurun, who acted as her guardian and gave her her name. Reg is her first love and closest friend; her affection for him is so profound that she willingly severed her own limbs to assist him. Initially, she harbored intense hostility toward Riko for displacing Reg's memories, but she eventually forgave her and accepted her as a companion. She also developed a tender, familial connection with Vueko, who shared memories of her mother, caring for her until her passing.
Trivia
Her name, bestowed by the interference unit Gabuurun, combines Fau (noble daughter) and Apta (immortal thing), together meaning Unending Princess. Within the story, her body is noted to emit a surprisingly pleasant scent that smells like the sun and baked sweet potatoes.
