Background
Fascinated by the Abyss from childhood, Lyza studied exploring techniques under Ozen. After attaining the White Whistle rank, she married a Black Whistle named Torka, who passed away prior to the birth of their daughter Riko. When Riko was two years old, Lyza entrusted her care to her pupil Jiruo and set out on a Last Dive into the sixth layer. Though missing for a decade, her recovered White Whistle and sealed notes bearing the phrase 'Waiting at the bottom of the netherworld' spurred Riko and Reg to venture downward.
Relationships
Riko is Lyza's daughter, left on the surface so she could choose her own path in life. She shared a loving marriage with Torka, whose passing caused her immense grief. Her relationship with her master Ozen was built on deep, lifelong trust formed during her childhood training. Jiruo was her dedicated apprentice to whom she assigned Riko's upbringing.
