Overview

A character from Dungeon Meshi, Flamela is an elf from the northern central continent who serves as the vice-captain of the Canaries, an elite elven unit. She was appointed to the post as the successor to former vice-captain Milsiril and acts as a field leader alongside the squad's captain.

Appearance

Flamela is a female elf with obsidian-black skin, silver hair, red eyes, and pointy ears. Standing around 140 centimeters tall, her remarkably dark skin tone and hair color represent extremely rare genetic traits associated in lore with true elven royalty.

Personality

Driven by deep-seated anger over her turbulent fate and rare lineage, Flamela has historically funneled her rage into her professional duties. She is short-tempered and openly irritated by Captain Mithrun's lack of basic self-care. Despite her quick fuse, she approaches her post with serious dedication, remaining calm and pragmatic when issuing orders on the battlefield. Following the resolution of the dungeon crisis, her irritable demeanor noticeably mellowed out.

Abilities

In combat, Flamela telekinetically maneuvers multiple swords simultaneously to strike her targets. As vice-captain of the Canaries, she possesses exceptional martial capability paired with sharp tactical command over her subordinates.

Background

Born into the Thorne family as a distant relative of Queen Heymea, Flamela and her twin sister both inherited the rare physical markers of elven royalty. After her sister was adopted by the queen and subsequently died under suspicious circumstances, Flamela enlisted in the Canaries to escape potential succession plots. During a past mission investigating dark magic, she forcefully brought back young Rinsha as sole survivor. When assigned to investigate the island dungeon, she was accidentally dropped into the depths, temporarily captured by orcs alongside Rinsha and Shuro, and later assisted in Falin's resurrection to establish goodwill with the newly crowned King Laios Torden.

Relationships

Flamela is distantly related to Queen Heymea. She maintains a strained working relationship with Canary captain Mithrun, frequently frustrated by his inability to manage daily life, though their interaction smoothes out later. In the past, her condescending treatment of the short-lived Rinsha during a protective custody retrieval left Rinsha deeply traumatized and distrustful of elves.
