Inutade

Overview

Inutade is a character from Delicious in Dungeon. She is an ogre woman hailing from the Eastern Archipelago who serves as a shinobi retainer in the party led by Nakamoto Toshiro (Shurou). Operating under her ninja code name Inutade, she combines a towering height of nearly 195 centimeters and immense physical power with a charming appearance and a hearty appetite.

Appearance

Standing around 195 cm tall, Inutade is an ogre female featuring skin-covered horns on her forehead. She has long, wavy black hair tied into low twintails and sparkling black eyes, with a rank tattoo disguised as a mole beneath her left eye. One of her front teeth is chipped. Her attire incorporates samurai armor elements, specifically torso protection, shoulder guards, and skirt armor. Her weapon is a black metal kanabou shaped like a spiked bat with its grip wrapped in cloth or leather.

Personality

Inutade possesses a cheerful, gentle, and accommodating temperament. She is remarkably patient and friendly, forming a warm bond with the temperamental Izutsumi and playfully giving Mickbell shoulder rides. She has a prodigious appetite, easily finishing mountain-sized servings of rice. Although she is somewhat slow to process complex thoughts, she exhibits a keen intuition that allows her to offer surprisingly perceptive advice.

Abilities

Inutade is a power fighter defined by her colossal physical strength. Her raw force is great enough to easily pin down and immobilize even a sturdy dwarf like Senshi. In combat, she effectively wields a heavy, spiked iron kanabou on the front lines, backed by her training as a shinobi serving the Nakamoto family.

Background

Prior to joining her current household, Inutade lived under harsh conditions as an underground female sumo wrestler in gambling rings. She was rescued from that life by Nakamoto Toshitsugu, the head of the Nakamoto family, whom she came to revere deeply. After becoming a shinobi in his service under the code name Inutade, she was tasked with accompanying his son, Nakamoto Toshiro (Shurou), on his dungeon expedition.

Relationships

Inutade holds divine respect for Nakamoto Toshitsugu as her savior and serves his son Nakamoto Toshiro (Shurou) with complete devotion. Within the group, she was notably the only person who comfortably got along with Izutsumi (Asebi). She also interacts playfully with Mickbell and once demonstrated her formidable muscle power by subduing Senshi.

Trivia

Her real name is Hijouhi, with Inutade being her shinobi code name, often shortened to Tade. Her chipped front tooth was broken during her past matches as a sumo wrestler. The mole under her left eye is actually a functional tattoo denoting her ninja rank. Additionally, the author designed her facial features to resemble a retro idol.
