Azusa has drooping eyes, a youthful face, and green eyes. Her hairstyle has evolved over time; initially shown with a black ponytail, she later adopted a semi-short cut pinned on both sides, and eventually settled into a forehead-baring, semi-long style (brown in the anime, black in the manga). She wears a white long-sleeved shirt with a signature Poirot apron, and sometimes wears glasses as a disguise.

Azusa is bright, gentle, and warm, possessing a caring attitude toward children and animals. Because her coworker Tooru Amuro is extremely popular with women, she is very anxious about sparking rumors or facing online backlash from his fans. Influenced by Sonoko Suzuki, she is also a passionate fan of Kaitou Kid and manages a blog under a unique handle.

Background
Azusa was originally an unnamed background waitress in the anime. She was named after her voice actress, Mikiko Enomoto, and subsequently adapted into the original manga. When her older brother Sugihito was falsely suspected in a murder case, she firmly believed in his innocence and helped clear his name. She also adopted a stray calico cat named Taii, who used to visit the cafe, and now cares for him at her apartment.
Relationships
Azusa has an older brother named Sugihito Enomoto. She works alongside her coworker Tooru Amuro at Café Poirot. She maintains friendly relationships with regular customers Kogoro Mouri, Ran Mouri, Conan Edogawa, and the Detective Boys. She is close friends with Ran Mouri and also hangs out with Midori Kuriyama. Notably, both Kaitou Kid and Vermouth have disguised themselves as Azusa during different incidents.
Trivia
Azusa's full name was derived directly from her voice actress, Mikiko Enomoto. She holds the unique distinction in Detective Conan of being the only character who has been impersonated by both Vermouth and Kaitou Kid. For her fan activities dedicated to Kaitou Kid, she runs a personal blog under the handle 'Waitress under the Moon.'
