Appearance
He is a man with black hair and green eyes. Originally sporting long hair that extended down his back, he later cut it short while leaving a characteristic curved lock over his forehead. He consistently wears a black beanie hat along with outfits such as jackets and collared shirts, and he is frequently seen smoking cigarettes.
Personality
On the surface, Akai maintains a calm, stoic, and unemotional demeanor, though he is fundamentally observant and deeply attentive. He is left-handed and possesses sharp logical skills. He frequently employs distinct verbal habits, such as assessing uncertain outcomes as being fifty-fifty.

Akai is a master sniper capable of striking targets from over seven hundred yards away and is proficient with various firearms. Background
Infiltrating the Black Organization under the alias Dai Moroboshi, Akai gained the codename Rye after establishing a connection with Akemi Miyano. Although he reached the upper ranks of the syndicate, an error by a fellow agent exposed his identity and forced his escape. Following Akemi's murder by the organization, he collaborated with Conan Edogawa to stage his death, later assuming the disguise of graduate student Subaru Okiya.
Relationships
He is the son of Mary Sera and the older brother of Shukichi Haneda and Masumi Sera. He previously had romantic ties with Akemi Miyano and Jodie Starling. Akai maintains a trusted partnership with Conan Edogawa and works alongside FBI colleagues James Black, Jodie Starling, and Andre Camel. He views the Black Organization executive Gin as his primary nemesis and holds a tense rivalry with Tooru Amuro.
Trivia
His real name and aliases, including Dai Moroboshi and Subaru Okiya, are derived from the Gundam character Char Aznavour and his real name Casval Rem Deikun. The boss of the Black Organization fears Akai as the Silver Bullet, believing he is the sole agent capable of destroying their syndicate.
