She serves as a high-ranking operative within the sinister Black Organization, acting as the trusted right-hand confidante to Rum, the syndicate's second-in-command. Endowed with extraordinary physical athleticism and exceptional memory capabilities, she functions as one of the organization's most formidable agents. After an unexpected incident alters the course of her mission, she undergoes a profound journey that ultimately reshapes her destiny.
Appearance
Curacao features long grey hair worn down and possesses distinct heterochromia, with her left eye colored blue and her right eye being transparent or grey. Her visual presentation is further distinguished by prominent eyelashes, bright red lips, a bow accessory, and stylized multicolored nails that include blue coloring.
Personality
Originally acting as a cold-blooded and ruthless assassin for the Black Organization, Curacao demonstrates a stern focus when carrying out her covert duties. However, losing her memories uncovers a gentler, caring, and protective nature. Interacting with young children brings out a warm, sisterly demeanor, ultimately inspiring her to reject her dark past in favor of protecting those she holds dear.
Abilities
Curacao possesses extraordinary memory capabilities that allow her to retain complex information with perfect accuracy. Alongside her exceptional intellect, she boasts remarkable physical athleticism and combat capabilities. Furthermore, she exhibits advanced high-speed driving skills during intense vehicular pursuits and demonstrates the proficiency required to operate heavy construction machinery such as a crane truck.
Background
Acting under Rum's direction, Curacao infiltrates police headquarters to steal intelligence before fleeing in a high-speed vehicle pursuit against Shuichi Akai and Tooru Amuro. The resulting crash leaves her with amnesia, leading her to wander into the Tohto Aquarium where she meets Conan Edogawa and the Detective Boys. While building fond memories with the children, her true past resurfaces upon viewing the five-colored illumination of a giant Ferris wheel. Choosing her newfound bonds over the syndicate, she sacrifices her life by commandeering a crane truck to stop the collapsing structure and save her young friends.
Relationships
Within the Black Organization, Curacao enjoys deep trust as the right-hand agent to Rum. She faces intense opposition from FBI agent Shuichi Akai and Public Security officer Tooru Amuro during her escape. Conversely, she forms a strong emotional connection with Conan Edogawa, Ai Haibara, and the Detective Boys—Ayumi Yoshida, Genta Kojima, and Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya. She deeply treasures a white dolphin keychain gifted to her by the children, treasuring it as a symbol of their friendship.
Trivia
Her codename Curacao originates from the real-world liqueur distilled with dried citrus peels. Throughout her central story arc, color functions as a vital thematic motif, represented by her striking heterochromia and the five distinct colored lights of the Ferris wheel that unlock her memories.
