Overview
K.S.Miracle is a character from Umamusume Pretty Derby who attends Tracen Academy as a high school student residing in the Ritto Dormitory. Defined by her refined, boyish appearance and gentle demeanor, she miraculously survived two life-threatening health crises during her youth. Driven by a intense sense of gratitude toward those who saved her life, she runs on the track with absolute dedication to repay her supporters.
Appearance
K.S.Miracle has short light blue hair with side locks, blue eyes, horse ears fitted with yellow ear covers, and a tail that smells of soap. She stands 156 cm tall with a slender build, and her shoe sizes differ between her left (22.5 cm) and right (22.0 cm) feet. She wears trousers in her casual attire and carries swan-themed items inspired by a favorite picture book. Her primary racing suit, Prism, is a blue boyish ensemble featuring long sleeves, a shirt, a jacket, gloves, and boots of differing lengths. Her Autumn Color Andante outfit consists of a checkered jacket, glasses, a red beret, and a red brooch pinned to her chest.
Personality
K.S.Miracle is gentle, courteous, and warm, addressing herself with the masculine pronoun ore while maintaining polite language. She possesses an extraordinary altruistic spirit, helping anyone in need without hesitation. However, her devotion stems from a severe lack of self-worth and a belief that her existence is built on apologies for being a burden due to her weak constitution. This mindset often drives her to push herself recklessly, causing constant concern among her peers. Additionally, she struggles to wake up early during winter and is known to talk loudly in her sleep.
Abilities
Specializing in short-distance and mile turf races, K.S.Miracle possesses exceptional speed that earned praise even from Karlston Light O. She achieved victory in the Swan Stakes while breaking the national turf record over 1400 meters. Beyond racing, she demonstrates extraordinary pitch recognition (ear copy), plays the piano learned during long hospital stays, excels as an empathetic vocal tutor for group chorus practice, and demonstrated overwhelming gaming prowess by scoring 300 million points against Durandal. She is also adept at giving directions.
Background
Born with a frail body, K.S.Miracle miraculously survived epidemic encephalitis and a severe foot injury during her youth. She transferred into Tracen Academy's High School division once her condition stabilized. A novice trainer who was captivated by her running form accepted the responsibility of managing her racing career despite her fragile constitution. During a community chorus contest, she formed Team Miracles alongside Hishi Miracle and other students to perform for hospitalized children, repaying the inspiration she received during her own childhood stays in the hospital.
Relationships
She shares a tight bond with her roommate Daiichi Ruby, who cares for her deeply but frequently expresses concern over her self-sacrificing behavior. The red brooch she wears was a gift from Daiichi Ruby. She maintains close friendships with sprint contenders Daitaku Helios and Yamanin Zephyr. With her classmate Hishi Miracle, she formed the Little Healing Discovery Team, and she later collaborated with Karlston Light O, Dants Flame, and Durandal as part of a chorus group.
Trivia
Her real-life counterpart was an American-born bay colt who overcame serious illnesses to compete in Japan, winning the 1991 Swan Stakes in record time. Her visual design incorporates the yellow racing hood (menko) worn by the real horse into her ear covers, alongside a blue-themed palette. The prefix K.S. in her name is traditionally attributed to her owner, Kiyoshi Takada, or her sire Stutz Blackhawk. In her story, she aspires to become a physical therapist in the future.
