Sakura Chitose O

Overview

Sakura Chitose O is a character from the media mix franchise Umamusume Pretty Derby, based on the real-life racehorse of the same name. Originating prominently in the spin-off manga Umamusume Pretty Derby Star Blossom before being featured in the mobile game, she is a member of the Victory Club alongside other Sakura-named horse girls. Standing apart with her relaxed, detached demeanor, she is characterized as a medicinal herbal fairy who deeply values bodily well-being.

Appearance

She has dark bay long hair bound into a braid at the back, accompanied by two small loose locks hanging down in front. Her bangs are swept to the left with a white streak, while her eyes feature a distinct peach blossom motif in the pupils. On her right ear, she sports a pink scrunchie embellished with a cherry blossom emblem. Her racing outfit features a sailor collar shared among members of the Victory Club, and she is also depicted wearing the Tracen Academy school uniform.

Personality

Guided by the philosophy that food and medicine share the same origin, she is deeply focused on health, often providing dietary advice and sharing custom medicinal cooking or dipping sauces with others. She maintains a composed, gentle, and ethereal presence. Her speech is marked by refined, archaic phrasing and traditional terms of address, often weaving four-character idioms or classical expressions into conversation alongside a distinct, elegant laugh.

Abilities

As a prominent runner in Team Alkes, she excels in turf middle-distance races. Her athletic prowess extends to mile distances, having set a national record over 1600 meters. On the track, she relies on an explosive late burst of speed from behind, capable of sweeping past nearly a dozen competitors in the home stretch.

Background

After spending her early days in the Victory Club, she joined Team Alkes at Tracen Academy. Following a period away from the main squad spent conducting specialized training in the mountains, she returned to campus as a seasoned veteran with multiple senior-grade wins. She establishes her reputation by stepping onto the track to challenge top rivals of her generation, including Biwa Hayahide and Narita Brian.

Relationships

She shares a long-standing childhood bond with Sakura Bakushin O, Sakura Chiyono O, and Sakura Laurel from their time together in the Victory Club, frequently treating them to her health-conscious creations. Within Team Alkes, she has served her custom medicinal dishes to teammate Yoshino Prix Vert, and she views her contemporary Biwa Hayahide as a major rival to overcome.

Trivia

She stands as the tallest member among the horse girls associated with the Victory Club. Additionally, she shows a particular fondness for the numbers 1 and 6.
