Originally a skilled operative for Shinra's covert unit known as the Turks, she later serves as the capable leader of the youth group in Gongaga Village.
Appearance
Cissnei has red-brown hair and eyes with a brownish or yellowish hue. As a Turk, she wears standard black sharp attire consisting of a suit jacket, long sleeves, a black necktie, and black fingerless gloves, while carrying a massive shuriken. In Costa del Sol, she appears in swimwear. In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, her design reflects her growth into a mature woman, featuring a blue vest alongside her casual outerwear.
Personality
Cissnei is highly professional, composed, and duty-bound, yet possesses a warm and deeply compassionate heart. Though she maintained a somewhat youthful, innocent demeanor in her early years, she grows into a dignified and reliable leader. She harbors a supportive side toward those she cares about, while also possessing a charming flaw in her complete lack of culinary skills.
Abilities
Hailing from Wutai, Cissnei is an exceptionally skilled fighter whose primary weapon is a massive shuriken. Having been recruited into the Turks at an extraordinarily young age due to her high potential, she underwent rigorous training. Her combat capabilities and tactical awareness allow her to easily manage village security and defend against threats.
Background
Raised by the Shinra Electric Power Company from childhood as an orphan, Cissnei was trained rigorously to become the youngest member of the Turks. During her time with the organization, she formed a meaningful connection with Zack Fair. Following the tragedy involving Zack, she eventually settled in his hometown of Gongaga Village, concealing her past identity while serving as the leader of the local youth group.
Relationships
She shares a deep bond with Zack Fair, whom she secretly supported as a member of his fan club, and maintains a polite relationship with his parents. In Gongaga, she forms a friendly connection with Aerith Gainsborough, clarifying that her feelings for Zack were not romantic. She also displays familiarity with Cloud Strife and Cait Sith, while keeping subtle ties to her former Turk colleagues such as Reno and Tseng.
Trivia
"Cissnei" is merely a professional codename assigned during her time with the Turks, with her true name remaining undisclosed within the main storyline. In certain titles, her actual name was determined directly by the player. A recurring lighthearted moment in her backstory involves Zack's parents asking if she would marry their son, an inquiry she playfully brushed off with a smile.
